Forgiveness

from spiritual principles made practical's podcast · host Scott Friedman

Forgiveness is what allows us to move forward.  We need to not only forgive others, we need to forgive ourselves. Every difficulty and all the stress in our life we have caused for ourself.  To move forward we need to forgive ourselves.  To do that we first acknowledge what we've been doing to cause ourself difficulty.  Then we need to understand how and why we've done that.  Once we've extracted the learning from the situation, we're in a position to move on and let the old behaviors go. As is my normal practice, I'll endeaver to provide a real time example from my life. I've created money and relationship stress in my life because I believed I needed that stress as motivation to grow spiritually.  I've taken on big challenges in an effort to "get the most out of myself".  Over the past years I've been focused on willingly learning and growing without relying on outer problems to force me to focus on my growth.  I'm ready to take another step in that process.  I think a next step might be in allowing myself to receive and benefit more from help I've created in my life. Clearly I need to spend more time and attention on  becoming aware of the thoughts that are creating that stress.  One of those thoughts is "I need the stress as a motivator".  I'll know when I've extracted the learning from the situation when the stress is gone and I can confidently move forward in finances and relationships.  I'm not there yet, and am making progress. I offer thought coaching where we uncover the thoughts creating our world and claim our freedom to choose which of those thoughts to act on.  To schedule your free introductory session, reserve a time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books including "Healing ourself, healing the world" are available to Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com
