    Forgiveness

Forgiveness is what allows us to move forward.  We need to not only forgive others, we need to forgive ourselves. Every difficulty and all the stress in our life we have caused for ourself.  To move forward we need to forgive ourselves.  To do that we first acknowledge what we've been doing to cause ourself difficulty.  Then we need to understand how and why we've done that.  Once we've extracted the learning from the situation, we're in a position to move on and let the old behaviors go. As is my normal practice, I'll endeaver to provide a real time example from my life. I've created money and relationship stress in my life because I believed I needed that stress as motivation to grow spiritually.  I've taken on big challenges in an effort to "get the most out of myself".  Over the past years I've been focused on willingly learning and growing without relying on outer problems to force me to focus on my growth.  I'm ready to take another step in that process.  I think a next step might be in allowing myself to receive and benefit more from help I've created in my life. Clearly I need to spend more time and attention on  becoming aware of the thoughts that are creating that stress.  One of those thoughts is "I need the stress as a motivator".  I'll know when I've extracted the learning from the situation when the stress is gone and I can confidently move forward in finances and relationships.  I'm not there yet, and am making progress. I offer thought coaching where we uncover the thoughts creating our world and claim our freedom to choose which of those thoughts to act on.  To schedule your free introductory session, reserve a time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books including "Healing ourself, healing the world" are available to Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Getting past internal resistance

Whenever we have internal resistance it's a sign we have conflicting thoughts.  We know this because thoughts create our emotions and resistance is an emotion. The solution is to slow down and listen until we become aware of the competeting/conflicting thoughts.   Here's a real time example from my life. On the one hand I have the thought I need to engage in marketing to generate revenue and expand my acceptance of being deeply connected.  On the other hand I know the only marketing that has ever worked for me is to be myself.  Being myself means acting on uplifting thoughts.  Being myself means being present.  In being myself, I've always had enough money. As you can see, taking the time to become aware of the competing thoughts makes it clear which thought is more uplifting and likely to enrich my life the most. I offer thought coaching where you're supported in identifying the thoughts in your mind and getting clear which thoughts are the most beneficial to act on.  To schedule a free introductory coaching session, reserve your time at www.calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books, including "Insights in getting out of our own way", are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website,  www.thoughtcoacingbyscott.com

    Extracting value from depression

Depression is a sign that there is currently the ability to listen to and accept ourselves more fully. We get depressed when we deny negative thoughts.  When we slow down and accept the existence of negative thoughts, we introduce a greater level of choice in our life.  Being conscious of negative thoughts allows us to investigate them and see if the thoughts are true or not.  In my experience, the thoughts are rarely true.  In those instances where the negative thoughts are deemed to be true, they point to actions I need to take to avoid problems.  The vast majority of the time, the negative thoughts are not true.  By accepting their existence and choosing not to act on those thoughts, it makes room for positive and true thoughts to arise. When we deny the negative thoughts, they control us.  That's why I wrote the book, "Negativity, what we deny controls us" Acceptance is healing.  Negative thoughts are healed by accepting. their existence.  With that acceptance and the choice not to act on the negative thoughts, they lose their power.  They still exist, but with very little power. I have effectively dealt with depression by slowing down and listening for the previously denied thoughts that are causing the depression.  I still get depressed, and I know how to deal with it. I offer coaching sessions that support you in acknowledging thoughts that we were previously unconscious of.  Once those thoughts move from the unconscious to the conscious, they lose much of their power.  To schedule a free introductory coaching session visit https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books, including, "Believing in Ourself, the master skill" and "Negtivity, what we deny controls us" along with others are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoacingbyscott.com

    Effective business leadership

Being abundantly clear facilitates successful business.   Too often people hold back explaining what needs to happen for employees and clients to be successful.  That isn't doing anyone any favors.  If there is a line that can't be recovered from once crossed, that needs to be made clear at the beginning. In my first full time job, my boss sat me down and said I was required to get all my paperwork in on time and have no surprises.  If I did that, we'd get along great.  If not, there would be major problems.  I worked for him for almost 7 years and he was true to his word.  I got all my paperwork in on time and kept him appraised of what was happening so there would be no surprises.  We got along great the whole time.  I followed this practice when I had employees and it worked well there too. This is a reflection of the fact that the solution to every problem is to be more honest with ourself.  When we're honest with ourself, it supports being honest with others. Being honest with myself includes accepting I have the power to make my life work.  There are lots of challenges in my life right now, most notably family health problems.  I believe the best thing I can do for others is to work on myself.  Once again, I'm reminded that I need to take care of myself to be in a position to take care of others. I offer life changing coaching.  You can reserve a free initial coaching session at www.calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books, including the Art of the Ethical Deal, are available on Amazon.  Links to the books appear on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

Believing in ourself, the master skill

Everytime we take any action towards making our outer world match our inner inspired world, we believe in ourself more.  Eventually, that belief in ourself gets so strong that we succeed in creating the outer world that matches the inner world of our dreams.  That's persistence in action.  There is a well known phrase, "everything yields to persistence". We all need to be reminded and inspired to believe in ourself more and more.  Because example is the most powerful form of leadership, we benefit ourselves and others by sharing our example of persistently believing in ourself more and more.  That ends up being translated to believing in others more as well. If you're so inspired to share how you've made persistence effective in improving your life, I'd love to have you as a guest on my podcast.  If you'd like to do that, reach out to me at [email protected] My books, including the book entitled, "Believing in Ourself, the master skill" are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com.  At the same website, you can book a free introductory coaching session.  We believe some of what we hear, more of what we see, and everything we experience.  Until you've experienced a coaching session with me, you haven't experienced a coaching session with me!!

    Getting through the tough times

The tougher the times, the. more we need to focus as much on the present moment as we can.  I remember a time when I set a goal to get through the next 3 minutes.  I did, barely.   I've chosen a challenging life.  The greater the difficulty in my life, the more I focus on the present moment all I can.  I focus on my breathing.  I focus on acknowledging the thoughts in my mind, letting all but the most uplifting drift away as smoothly as they arose.  I'm reminded that there is no suffering in the present moment.  The only suffering that exists is suffering I create by my mind creating a past and future.   The more I listen deeply to myself, the more energy I have; the more solutions I recognize, the more peace I experience. I offer thought coaching.  It's a unique experience.  You can schedule a free introductory session at  https:/calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

15 minutes a day can change your life

I meditate on average about 15 minutes a day and it's changed my life.  I write down the thoughts in my mind.  I become aware of my thoughts and the freedom I have to choose to act on them or not.   I know when I've been at peace with a decision, it's worked out well for me almost every time.  I am considering an investment in my business.  Part of me thinks I'm not comfortable hiring this service as I don't know them.  Part of me thinks there is a guaranteed refund if I'm not satisfied.  Then part of me wonders what if they don't perform or honor the guarantee.  Then I think, if I have an agreement and they don't honor it, I can get a refund from the credit card company assuming I pay by credit card.  Even with those thoughts, I'm still not comfortable.  I need to milk all the learning and growth I can out of this situation. By being aware of my thoughts, I can think more clearly and pay closer attention to the thoughts that arise in my mind rather than being controlled by the emotions those thoughts create.  I'm going to listen more and more deeply to my thoughts until  I find peace and a decision I feel good about.  Writing down our thoughts enables us to make better decisions which create a better life. I can help you be more aware of your thoughts resulting in better decisions.  For a free introductory coaching session, schedule your time at www.calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min

How to be an inspiring leader

Example is the most powerful form of leadership.  When we share our story of how we risen to the occasion when faced with big challenges in our life, it inspires others to do the same.  We need to share our stories in a fashion that the people listening to the story can relate to. They need to see themselves in our story.  We need to see the similiarities those we wish lead and inspire have with our stories. For example.  It took me 20 years of wanting to write and publish a book befoe I did it.  To accomplish that I had to acknowledge the thoughts that I didn't have anything of value to share; that it was a fools errand; that no one was interested in what I had to say.  Only after acknowledging those thoughts was I able to look at them and ask if those thoughts were true.  On inspection, I realized those thoughts were false.  There is value and truth in accepting that we create our world with our thoughts.  There is value and truth in accepting that all the love, joy, wisdom, peace and strength that exists exists within each of us waiting for us to relate to it and claim it.  There is value and truth in accepting the fact that our mind is immensly more powerful than we've given it credit, and we can consciously tap into that power more and more. Only by accepting my negative thoughts and inspecting them have I been able to claim more and more of the power and wisdom that exists within me and you. I offer thought coaching to help move thoughts from the unconscious to the conscious and claim the freedom to choose which thoughts to act on.  You can schedule a free introductory coaching session at www.calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books, including "Believing in Ourself, the master skill", and "Negativity, what we deny controls us" are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books, all 13 of them, on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    How acceptance creates trust

When we are accepting of our thoughts and the feelings those thoughts create, we find ourselves more open to share what we're thinking and feeling.   That openness that comes with greater self acceptance inspires others to respond in kind.  I've found through the years, the more open I am with others, the more open they are with me.  When I exude acceptance, people feel safe and supported in trusting me enough to open up. Part of the acceptance that creates trust is empathy.  We all can reflect back on times when we feel "heard", when we feel "you get me".  We love and trust people we feel listen deeply to us and respond with empathy and kindness.  Everyone wants  people in their life who they feel give them the support and acceptance of being safe to open up to. When I coach people, I am very open with my clients.  This creates the trust that supports maximum value.  To schedule a free introductory coaching session, books your time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

How to deal with credit card debt

Pay off the highest interest debt first.  That's dealing with the effect.  To deal with the cause, employ the spiritual principle "the solution to every problem is to be more honest with ourself".  Write down what you're spending money on every time you spend money.  Continue spending on what brings you love, joy and upliftment.  Stop spending everything else.  Money is a tool to be used to enrich your life, not an end in itself. We need to deal with both the cause and effects in our life.  Our thinking is always the cause.  The more aware we are of our thinking, the more we are in control of the cause of everything in our life.  That's why I offer thought coaching in which we focus on moving thoughts from the unconscious to the conscious.  That way you have the freedom to choose which thoughts to act on and which to let go.  to schedule a free introductory thought coaching session, reserve your time at https://calendly.com//scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Dealing with difficult emotions

Our emotions are created by our thoughts.  Listening to the thoughts in our mind helps us identify the thoughts that are creating the difficult emotions.  Once we identify the thought creating the emotion, we are in a position to ask if that thought is. true. Invariably, there are aspects of the thought that are not true.  The more we accept the negative thought, the more space there is for accurate positive thoughts to come into our mind.  If you're like me, the negative thoughts don't stop, they just lose power and frequency. The number of times the thought that I'm failing in life and should just give up has come up in my mind is too many to count.  I accept the existence of that thought and quickly the thought comes up, "I'm going to see this through.  I refuse to give up."  Then examples of overcoming difficult times and obstacles from my past come to mind and I think, I've overcome seemingly insurmountable odds before, I can do it again. Don't deny the negative emotions. Allow them and the thoughts that create them to exist.  Just inspect the thoughts for veracity and choose not to act on them.  Denying and fighting against the negative thoughts only makes them stronger. Acceptance heals. How to get unstuck

As long as we haven't given up, we're not truly stuck.  The determinate in life is how much we believe in ourself.  Every day we don't give up, we believe in ourself a little more.  Eventually that belief grows to the point we see it reflected back to us by the outer world.   I wrote a book entitled, "Believing in ourself, the master skill" that goes into this in detail. I could say that I'm stuck because I've sold less than 1000 books in more than 7 years.  More accurately, I believe in the value I have to offer reflected in the fact that I'm close to finishing my 14th book.  Each book I believe has value regardless of the size of the sales. We have control of our inner growth, our self mastery.  We are never stuck as long as we are continually more honest and accepting of ourself and where we are at right now. Perseverance

I do beieve that unlimited joy is part of who I am.  I don't have to create that joy.  It always exists as part of who I am.  Sometimes I'm consciously experiencing that joy and sometimes not.  When I'm not, it's because I am having negative or inaccurate thoughts.  I know the way to weaken the power of those thoughts is to accept their existence and allow myelf to realize that while they may be in my mind, they are not accurate and don't deserve to be acted upon. Today, my wife is in the hospital.  Strangely enough, when I reflect back on yesterday, she and I did have a few laughs in her hospital room.  I know the best thing I can do for her is to work on myself.  I need to be focused as much as possible in the present moment.  That's where joy can be consciously experienced.   I offer thought coaching.  If you're experiencing stress in your life, we can work together to reduce it through being conscious and accepting of our thoughts.  You can reserve a free introductory session at https://calendry.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Ending time

Being aware that we live in the eternal present and that time is a creation of the mind in the present moment, ends time as we've historically thought of it. I've already accepted and relate to there is no sense of time when I'm in the flow or sometines described as being in the zone.  We don't think of time as existing until we leave the flow and create time to reflect back on that time.  I believe the next step in accepting the truth is to accept the fact that time only exists when it's created in the present moment by the mind.  The more I can accept and relate to that, the more freedom I have to create the world I consciously desire.  I'm already living in the world I have created, AND some of the world I've created I'm not conscious of having done so.   As strange as much of this seems, there is a peace and truth that is a visceral part of accepting this.  Plus, the intellectual description of this fits.  It is consistent with the idea that the present moment is the only moment that could ever exist.  It is consistent with the idea that the mind creates the entire differentiated world. I offer a free introductory coaching session in which you gain a greater understanding of and mastery of your mind and what it creates.  Schedule your time at https://calendrly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are avaialble on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Alignment solves money issues

Being concerned about money is an effect of a lack of mind, body spirit alignment.  When mind, body and spirit are in alignment, there is peace, health, wealth, joy, happiness, love and everything else of value, including the money we need. Our spirit is consistent, cannot be changed and is indestructible.  For alignment to occur it's the mind and body that must change to be in alignment with our spirit.  For my mind, having a mantra helps me keep it in alignment with my spirit.  I meditated on what the ideal thought to repeat incessangly in my mind would be for me and the answer that resonated with me, my spirit, is "I am the world".  I suggest you identify a phrase that creates alignment that is optimal for you and get in the habit of incessatly repeating it.   To create alignment with my body, focusing on my breathing in the present moment works well.  I don't try to breath any particular way.  Just being aware of my breathing I find it automatically becomes deeper and slower. As my alignment improves, so does my sense of well being.  When I turn my attention to money I have the thought, "It will all work out.  I don't know the specifics of how, but it will."  In fact money is a tool to maxinize our experience of love, joy, peace, well being, happiness and so on.  We can consciously experience all that good with or without money.  They are part of our spirit that is always there waiting for us to recognize, enjoy and align with. I offer thought coaching.  To schedule a free introductory session, book your time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thouhtcoachingbyscott.com

    Being present

When we are detached from our mind, we are allowing ourself to consciously experience being present.  In fact, we're always in the present moment because there is no other place to be.  We think past and future exist because our mind creates that idea in the persent moment.  As soon as the mind stops creating the past and future, they cease to exist.  If you have a method you confidently use to determine what is true, ask if it's true that the present moment is the only moment that exists.  Ask if past and future only exist when the mind is creating them in the current moment. The more we can relate to this truth, the less sense it makes to regret the past or fear the future.  We increasingly break free of limitations the mind is creating.  We notice as we do this, our energy level goes up.  That's further verification of the efficacy of this understanding.   The mind is real and it creates time, past, future and everything in the differentiated world.  The mind is not engaged when we'er experiencing Beinga Present.  When we're conscious of being present, we're in the flow and the mind is not engged.  We are brilliant, spontaneous, joyful, loveing, kind self confident and inspired.  We are ONE.  We don't think ourself as being separate.  We are not "self conscious". Slow down and pay attention to your mind and what it creates and when it is and is not engaged.  It will change your life forever. I offer thought coaching to assist you in this process of being conscious of when we're engaging the mind and when we're not.  We create our world with our mind, so it makes sense that there is value in understanding that process.  For a free introductory coaching session, book your time at https://calendly.conm/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Making optimal choices

I've been sick.  To me that's a message I need to listen more closely to myself because there is somethig I'm missing that I have the capacity to hear if I just slow down and listen well enough.  In this morning's meditation I was inspired to record a podcast addressing the question, when to push and when to allow.  I believe there is a time and place for everything, including allowing and pushing.   I've meditated daily for over 40 years.  Rarely do I need to push myself to meditate.  It typically comes as an habitually ingrained habit after all these years.  I allow whatever comes up in meditation to be acknowledged.  If. the thought is uplifting, I act on it; if not, not.  At tiems I need to push myself to follow through on an inspired idea.  At those times, I believe pushing through resistance is appropriate.  Applying this to work live balance, my experience is I make the maximum contribution to my family, careeer, greater world, my own health and well being, I need only act on inspired and uplifting thoughts.  The value I contribute is not measured in time but in positive impact.  The more I work on myself, the more I have to offer others.   I offer coaching to help you tap into your inner wisdom and how you can best apply that wisdom for your benefit and the benefit of ohers as well.  To schedule a free introductory session to see if this has value for you, reserve your time at https://calendly.com/scottfreidman40/30min   My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Executive self awareness and leadership

You can only give what you have.  To help people on your team take ownership and maximize the benefits of their talents, you need to be an example of making that work. You need to write down with as much articulation as possible what your talents are and how you use them to benefit yourself and others.  Then you need to write down your weaknesses and how you design around them. Because example is the most powerful form of leadership, here's a list of what I perceive my talents to be and how I'm using them for my benefit and the benefit of others.  Also, a list of my weaknesses and how I address them. I am a great meditator.  In meditation I ask questions I want the answers to and listen for the answers to arise in my mind.  I know acting on the thoughts in my mind that are uplifting will benefit myself and others.  Everyone wants self acceptance, to be heard and valued.  As I accept myself more and more, I provide an environment that supports others in accepting themsleves.  I have a dogged persistance in accepting and aligning more and more with what's true.  Again, that supports others in being more honest with themselves. Weaknesses of mine include being impatient, giving up focusing on what is true to adopt commonly held beliefs that are false.  That includes going along to get along in an effort to feel more connected even though I know the only way to have the connection I desire is to be connected to myself.  I know and have experienced that when I'm connected to myself I'm connected to everyone.  Nevertheless, I still find myself falling into the destructive habit of adopting commonly held beliefs that don't work for me.  When I do that I create stress for myself.  That stress reminds me I've turned my back on what I know and it's time to recenter myself. Claiming more of our power

Almost all of us agree that our mind has more power than we give it credit for.  I want to accept and realize as much of my potential as I can in this life.  Given these 2 facts, it makes sense that I want to claim more of the power of my mind. A few months ago I decided adopting a mantra would be one way I could have more conscious direction of my mind.  I could consciously select more of the thoughts in my mind by adopting a mantra.  I meditated and was inspired to adopt the following mantra, "I am the world".  While that thought felt good, I had trouble relating to it.  Because it felt so good to be repeating it in my mind, I continue to do that. Today I woke up with the thought that if I can heal the internal conflici I have around accepting my power that internal healing would be projected into the physical world and an end to the Russian and Ukranian war.  It seems obvious to me that if Russia returned the land it anexed from Ukraine and Ukraine gave Russia unfettered access to ports on the Black Sea, the potential for them to live in peace is high.  In war, everyone loses. If I create the world with my mind.  If believe healing myself heals the world (which I and a great many others do).  Then healing my internal conflict should be reflected as an end to external conflict. I've been wrong about lots of things in my life.  Maybe this is one of them.  HOWEVER, employing the mechanism I use to reliably determine what is true, I know if I can heal my internal conflict enough, that will be reflected back to me by the outer world. I believe our mind is all powerful.  We have the ability to tap into that power and direct that power to benefit ourselves and ohers.  I can help with that if you wish.  For a free introductory coaching session, reserve your time at https://calnedly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Progress in accepting our mind

Intellectually I know that I create my world with my mind in the current instant.  Creating alignment with that fact is a whole different challenge.   For me the habit of abondoning what I know to be true in favor of trying to align with those I see as being "other" is hard to break.  Sharing and acting on the perspective that connecting with myself is the only way to truly be connected to others has been a long term challenge.     Yesterday, I was at a business networking event.  In my mind I had the thought that my perspective is so different than the perspective embraced by the other attendees that maybe I should try to "tone it down" is an effort to connect better with the others in the meeting.   I decided I would "go for it" and share myself as fully and with as little inhibition as possible.  It went really really well.  A few of the participants came up to me later and expressed a desire to further engage. Part of what I shared is my belief that being myself is the only thing that could possibly work for me.      All of this amounts to me growing in the alignment of my mind and my spirit essence.  My mind can change, my spirit essence can't.   The more I accept my thinking, the more my thinking changes to be in alignment with my true essence. I offer thought coaching in which you become more conscious and accepting of the thoughts in your mind and power you have to choose which of those thoughts to act on, true freedom.  If you'd like a complimentary coaching session, you can reserve your time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Creating wealth

We create with our mind.  More specifically, we create by acting on our thoughts.  Our thoughts can be conscious or unconscious, positive or negative, true or false. To make room for more conscious, true, positive thoughts we need to diminish the power of negative thoughts by accepting their existence and chooseing not to act on them.  If my experience is any indication, the negative thoughts don't go away, just lose more and more of their influence.  Fighting against them, or trying to deny them, only gives them more power. With enough clarity we can create great wealth in our life by seeing more clearly.  Think of a time when you had an "ah ha" moment.  The wisdom of that moment was always a part of you.  When that wisdom went from the unconscious to the conscious, you were gthen able to use that wisdom more effectively for your benefit. With that added clarity you create wealth.  Wealth includes money, peace, friendships, relationships, health, self esteem and more. Accept your thoughts more fully and you'll be able to create all the wealth you want in your life.   I offer thought coaching in which you are supported in becoming increasingly conscious of your thoughts and the ability you have to choose which you deem as being accurate and beneficial to act on.  To schedule a free introductory session, reserve your time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Uncovering a negative thought

For more than 50 years I've had a cough when I've denied negative thoughts.  It first occured when I was a freshman in college.  I coughed so much that I would repeatedly start to pass out from lack of oxygen.  Only as I was falling to the ground and about to completely pass out, would my throat relax and allow me to inhale.  Years later I discovered I could stop the spasmodic cough by acknowledging the otherwise denied negative thoughts. Recently, I've noticed a more frequent recurrance of the cough.  In today's meditation I heard  that the denied thought that was causing me to cough now is "This isn't working for you".  Upon accepting the existence of that thought, I immediatley started having thoughts about why that thought was not true.  It is true that I have unrealized potential.  AND, my commitment to being ever more accepting and in alignment with what is true is effectively moving me forward. Whenever I accept a negative thought that was previously denied, I feel my body let go of tension I wasn't even aware existed.  This is the case with accepting the thought "this isn't working for me".   We create our world with our thoughts.  I offer thought coaching to assist in becoming aware of our thoughts and the power we have to choose to act on them or not.  For a free introductory coaching session to experience the difference this can make in your life, reserve a time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.   You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

Why sometimes it seems impossible to do what we should do

Our behavior is controlled by our conscious and unconscious mind.  When we can't seem to get ourselves to do what we want to do, it's because subconscious thoughts are stopping us. The solution is to move the thoughts from the subconscious to the conscious.  Once the thought is in our conscious mind, we can choose to act on it or not.  As long as it's in the subconcious mind, we don't have a choice to act on it or not. There are a number of ways to move the thought from the subconscious to the conscious.  One is to listen closely to the thoughts in our mind.  For me, I've had the thought that it's not safe for me to be myself despite the fact that being myself is the only thing that works.  Since I've moved that thought into my conscious, I can choose not to act on it.  You can do the same. I offer thought coaching to help you move thoughts from the unconscious to the conscious and bring a level of consciious choice to your life you didn't have before.  To schedule a free introductory coaching session, make an appointment at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Team motivation

Everyone wants to do well.  The team leader can inspire the team by acknowledging the strengths of the members and how those abilities can be applied to help the team.  Paradoxically, the better the team performs, the more benefits come to the individual members of the team.  One of the most valuable contributions any team member can make is to be effective in supporting the team's success.

You can re ignite your spark anytime you want.   Sit quiety amd ask for ideas to come into you mind that that are exciting and uplifting.  Then act on those ideas.  Make some goals you're enthusiastic about and take action. I want to make a huge contribution to the world.  That's a gigantic goal.  It inspires me to keep finding more and more ways to contribute value using my talents.  I'm excited anytime I make progress.  I'm temporarily depressed when things don't go as I hoped.  But, the excitement of the goal helps me learn from what didn't work and try something else. Increasing value

We are all of infinite value.  The challenge is to consciously accept it to the point where that acceptance of our value is reflected back to us by the outer world. One way to do this is to persist.  Every attempt we make in achieving what is important to us strengthens our belief in ourself.  I wrote a book entitled, "Believing in Ourself The Master Skill".     Another way we clear the way to allow ourself to see our value reflectred back to us is to minimize the thoughts that work against that.  That would include thoughts such as "I don't have what it takes", "I don't have the value to offer" and other similiar thoughts.  Acknowledging those thoughts, allowing them to exist in our mind, and refusing to act on them, minimizes their impact. I offer coaching to help you accept and beneficailly share more of the value within you.  To schedule a free introductory session, reserve your time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books at www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

Using our mind to increase energy

With enough energy we can accomplish anything.  What gives us more access to the unlimited energy we are is acting on thoughts that have that energy associated with them. In my experience some of the energizing and uplifting thoughts are commonly supported by society and many are not.   In fact some of the most empowering thoughts are not supporterd by society.  These would include: the present moment is the only moment that could ever exist; the past and future only exist to the extent the mind creates them in the present moment; we create our world in the present moment; when we change our thinking, the world changes instantly. Some of the uplifting thoughts that are more supported by society include, there is great value in being authentic; we feel better when we help others and knowledge is valueable. By being aware of the thoughts in our mind and the energy associated with them, we can choose which thoughts to act on to create the world we want for ourself. Allowing unfoldment

The more we are aware of what we're experiencing in the present moment, the smoother and more naturally we open up to a greater acceptance of the totality of who and what we are. For me, right now, I am finding more and more when I think of the past or the future, I have the thought that I'm creating both the past and the future in the present moment.  As soon as my attention leaves the past or future, they cease to exist.  There are a great many things I love about this.  One is I realize I can create past and future anytime I want.  AND, I don't have to have a past or future if I don't want.  I can be conscious of the everlasting present, beyond time.  There is a deep relaxation in accepting I have power over my past and future in addition to my present of which they are a part.  Maintaining the idea that the past can't be changed and fearing the future, is stressful because it is not true. There are a great many commonly held thoughts that are not accurate and therefore create stress.  The more we relax and pay attention the more the inaccurate thoughts can be accepted for the inaccurate thoughts they are.  We allow them to exist but we don't act on them.  Conversly, there are accurate thoughts we have been denying such as we are all ONE, such as the present moment in the only moment that could ever exist, such as we create the entire differentiated world with our mind.  The more we accept these thoughts, the greater peace and joy we experience.   Allow yourself to be aware of what you're thinking and experiencing in the present moment.  That will facilitate a smoother opening and acceptance of what is true, including the virtually infinite power of our mind. I offer thought coaching for those wanting my help in being aware of your thoughts and the power you have to decide which are true and beneficial to act on and which are false and are best not acted on.  To set up a free introductory coaching session, book a time at https://calendly.con/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Courage to be ourself

I've been afraid to be myself my whole life.  Fortunately, in my 20s I realized I was going to have to act in spite of fear if I was to have anything approaching a good life.  Despite the many many times I've chosen to be myself inspite of my fear of rejection, the fear persists. The latest rendition of the fear of being myself is to share that I know we create the entire universe with our mind.  We create at the level of solar systems all the way to what we'll have for lunch.  Our creative power is infinite.  AND, even better, we can take ever greater conscious ownership of this creative ability by articulating for ourself what we're conscious of having created. In my 20s I decided to have a spiritually oriented life full of spiritual leadership.  Fifty years later I'm still reaping the benefits of that "creative" decision.  I choose to have a profession where I was compensated for the value contributed, not the hours worked.  This "creative" decision has resulted in me having a great deal of discretionary time through out my life.  These are some of the "creative" decisions that have shaped my life.   Articulate the creative decisions in your life and you'll see more clearly how you create and be able to use that understanding to more efficiently and effectly create the life you want, at any age. I offer thought coaching where clients routinely discover talents they were not even aware they had.  You have the ability to solve any problem and/or create anything you want in your life.  To schedule a free initial consultation to experience this value, book a time at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Changing my relationship to time

The more I accept my mind and it's power, the more my relationship to time changes.   In order to fully accept my mind, I need to move beyond it and accept what it can and can't do.  When I move beyond my mind, I'm also moving beyond time because time is a product of the mind.  When I'm detached and looking at the mind from the outside, there is no time.  Time only exists when I'm engaged with the mind.  Getting used to the idea that time only exists within the mind and because I'm understanding and relating more to what is beyond the mind, Will and Being, I'm experiencing being beyond time more. Part of me is afraid of what that's like.  Part of me knows that being in the eternal present, beyond the mind, is where all the love, joy and peace are; nothing to be afraid of... I think I'll be growing in my conscious experience of the particulars of how my will directs my mind and how my mind carries out the direction of my will.  It is my will, intent, to be increasingly conscious of how my mind both creates and takes direction from my will.  I know my mind creates the "differentiated" world; the world of contrasts.  What I'm not very conscious of is the will directing the mind.  I know some of it.  I know my will has directed my mind to consciously accept all I can of who I am and what I'm capable of.  I've wanted to experience my potential for as long as I can remember.  That's the will at work. I do know I'm more at peace having recorded this podcast.  That tells me I've grown in my acceptance of myself and what is true. I offer thought coaching.  If you're interested in working with me in being more aware and accepting of your thinking, schedule a free introductory session at https://calendarly.com/scottfriedman40/30min  My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Gaining mastery over time

The preamble to this is to share that every time, without exception, that I've had a thought that was accompanied by a deep total internal congruence, that thought has proven to be accurate.  This has been true for me for over 70 years.  That's a lot of trust having been built up. Among the thoughts that have "qualified" in my mind as being true using the congruence measuring stick, is the thought that the solution to every problem is to have a greater acceptance and alignment with what is true.  What is true for me is that my mind creates time.  When I'm "being in the flow", I am operating outside of my mind.  I'm not thinking, I'm allowing my Being to express spontaneously. All this leads me to the acceptance that my will is part of my being and my will directs my mind.  Part of what my will directs my mind to do is to create time and differentiation.  The way to master my mind and time is to see it from the "outside", from a state of "Being".  When we can observe our mind and its functions from outside of the mind we can understand it more accurately.  An anology is we can more accurately see the forest when we're above  the forest looking down on it.  When we're in the middle of the forest, we can't comprehend the dimensiions of the forest and other characteristics of it.  Observing the mind from a state of being is the same as seeing the forest from an airplane. I'm in the process of aligning more and more fully with the truth.  The truth is I (as well as you and everyone else) create the world with my mind and part of the world I create is time.  Part of this is very hard for me to relate to right now, even though there is profound congruence with the thought.  However, there have been lots of things in my life I wanted to create that I had no idea how to create, that I successfully created.  I remember as a teenager having the thought, "I'm never going to be comfortable around women".  Now, I'm coming up on my 40th wedding anniversary and have women friends and business associates.  My drive to gain mastery over my mind and time is at least as strong as my drive was to be able to carry on a conversation with a woman.  Will is another word for drive.  It is my will that I gain conscious control over my mind and time.  This will give me complete conscious control over creation. With mastery of time, I can create entire lives including a past, present and future in an instant.  I can have multiple lives simultaneously (many writers do).  In fact the present moment is the only moment that ever could exist. If you'd like to have a free introductory coaching session in which you gain greater mastery of your mind and the world it creates for you, you can contact me at [email protected] If you'd like to strengthen your experience of BEING ONE through sharing win win experiences, contact me at the same email and we'll be an inspiring example together on a podcast.  Example is the most powerful form of leadership. Loosening time's grip

As I grow in my acceptance of what is true, I become increasingly accepting of the fact that the present moment is the only moment that exists.  Time only exists when I create it in the present moment.  If I'm not thinking in terms of time, it doesn't exist.  When I am thinking of time, I'm doing it in the present moment, the only moment that exists. This understanding is freeing.  Because of this understanding I realize I create my entire world in the present moment with my mind.  If I change my mind my entire world changes in that instant.   The idea of incremental growth or improvement is just an idea in the mind.  It's only true if we make it so.  We can, and have, change our world in an instant.  I think about the instant I met my wife.  My world changed in that instant.  I create time so I can enjoy reflecting back on that time.  As soon as my attention goes elsewhere, that event ceases to exist. Time is just one of the infinite creations of the mind.  The more we understand how the mind works, the more control we have over what it creates.  It's creating all the time, largely directed by unconscious thoughts.  We have the power to move thoughts from the unconscious to the conscious.  That and the capacity to choose which thoughts to act on is true freedom. I offer thought coaching for leaders who want to grow their conscious capacity to make a greater and more uplifting contribution to themselves and the world.  We are very conscious and intentional of how narrow or broad we choose our thinking to be in the coaching sessions.  The first session is free.  You can schedule it at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min You can use the same calendar link to schedule time to share your win/win experiences. Healing deeply rooted fear

The more I grow in my self acceptance, the more I find myself accepting both my strengths and weaknesses at deeper levels. Today I'm inspired to heal at least some of my fear of misusing my power.  Times when I've used my power to hurt people have come to mind along with my deep regret and desire to punish myself.  For decades the battle has raged mostly in unconscious realms between wanting to accept and utilize my power to help myself and others, and the thought that I must not allow myself to own my power because I've misused it in the past.   The more I see the situation clearly, the more I resolve to accept my power and do all I can to see that it's only used for good.   The fear that I'll misuse my power is still with me.  The more I accept it's presence the more certain I am that I will choose not to misuse my power. If you want to become more aware of your thoughts so you can choose which to act on, I can help.  You can schedule a free introductory coaching session where we'll work together to move thoughts from the subconscious to the conscious and give you the freedom to choose which thoughts you act on.  Set it up at htps://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min If you'd like to be an inspiring example to others of times when you've implemented win/win solutions, schedule a time to record a podcast at the above calender link. Work Life Balance

The first step in achieving work life balance is to recognize where you are right now.  If you're stressed trying to get everything done, it's only going to get worse if you don't make a change.  You know all kinds of time and energy get wasted when we make mistakes and the more stressed we are, the more mistakes we make. Every problem, including not having the work life balance you desire, is solved by being more honest with ourself, listening better to ourself.   Take time to listen to yourself.  Ask yourself the questions you want answers to.  In this case ask, "What changes can I make to improve my work life balance and thereby improve my life?"  When I meditate on what to do when, my productivity goes way up when I act as inspired.  Often, I hear in meditation that what I need to do is relax and "zone out".  Often, not always, when I'm relaxing, drifting in out of naps, uplifting ideas come to me.  These ldeals lift me and others up. For decades I've found that the more I work on myself the more value I have to offer others.  The most productive way of working on ourselves is to listen deeply to ourselves and act on uplifting thoughts.  Do that, and your life work balance will be optomized. If you'd like my help in supporting you in achieving the optimal work life balance, schedule an introductory coaching session at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com Additionally, if you're up for sharing a win/win solution you've created in your life, contact me at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min

    Measuring Congruence

When our mind, spirit and behavior are in alignment we create what we want to create. When we're not seeing in the physical world what we want to create, it's because there is unresolved conflict.  There are opposing thoughts.  Once we accept we have conflicting thoughts, we can listen closely to identify what those conflicting thoughts are.  When the thoughts move from the unconscious into the conscious, we have the opportunity to decide to act on those thoughts or not, while making sure to accept their existence.   For example.  I am offering solutions on an individual and global basis and everything inbetween and think the world should be knocking my door down to be supporterd in identifying and implementing win/win solutions.  Yet, at this writing, that's not the case.  When I listen for the thought that is in conflict with this desire, I find the thought, "everyone already has within them all the wisdom and solutions that exist, they don't need you".  As I accept the existence of that thought, the thought arises, "Yes they have all the solutions within themselves, and they are not conscious of those solutions and therefore are not implementing them.  I can help them access, accept and benefit from their wisdom in ways they are not currently doing."  I'll continue to listen for any additional thoughts that are in conflict with my desire to have a global following of people identifying and implementing more and more win/win solutions. Please follow my example and heal through acceptance thoughts that are in conflict with your most loving, inspired and uplifting thoughts.  Create congruence with you highest and best thoughts. If you wish, I may be able to help through coaching.  You can schedule a free introductory session at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min If you'd like to share a win/win event from your life on a podcast, schedule that at htps://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min   My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

Advancing understanding of our mind creating

We create all that exists in the differentiated worldl with our mind.  The only things the mind doesn't create are the Will and Being.  They esxsit beyond thought. We create the life we lead.  We create the experiences we have.  Our will tells our mind what to create. My will has directed my mind to become as conscious as possible of my true power and potential.   My mind has created a path to do that.  My mind has chosen to meditate daily, to use win/win thinking to experience more of being ONE with all that exists, and to increasingly move beyond the mind by being in the FLOW, ETERNAL PRESENT.   I let vitality direct me.  Acting on thoughts that are uplifting and energizing, results in me experiencing and accepting more of my potential.  That's why I act on thoughts such as "example is the most powerful form of leadership", "The solution to every problem is to be more honest with ourself", "I can trust as true every thought that is accompanied by a deep inner congruence".  Acting on these thoughts and others like them is creating the life I want. I offer coaching where you are supported in becoming more aware of your thoughts and the power you have to chose which to act on.  In this way you access your wisdom and power allowing you to solve problems and create the world you desire more effeciently and effectively.  You can set up a free initial consultation through https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Acknowledging growth

The process of making our life what we consciouslsy want it to be requires us to take ownership of our abilities so we can choose how we use them.  We already have all the talent and power we could ever want.  The challenge is letting go of our resistance to being consciously accepting of that power and ability. I'm finding, more and more, that I'm relating to the fact that my mind creates everything in my "differentiated" life.  The "non differentiated" life includes our Will and Being.  The differentiated life includes all people, things, thoughts and time.  All of that is created in the present moment by our mind.  Only that which we "pay attention" to exists. As I relax my resistance, I'm becoming increasingly aware and accepting of the fact that my mind creates everything.  It does so at the direction of the will.  This awareness is not something I'm trying to make happen.  It's wisdom that has always existed that I'm becoming increasingly conscious of in my mind. At the direction of my will, I am learning more and more of the details of how my mind creates at the direction of my will. If you want to engage with me in learning more of how our mind works and how it is directed by our will, contact me for a free introductory coaching session at https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are avaailable on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Giving up response

If you're like me, you probably have times when you just want to give up.   Like all thoughts, we have a choice to act on them or not once we accept their existence. I've worked through thoughts and feelings of giving up so many times, I'm quite aware it is a transitory problem.   One of the ways I've worked through it is to ask myself, what makes my life worth living.  When I answer that question I think about all the energy and inspiration and joyI experience as I lift myself and others up.  I don't want to miss out on more of that.  I think about my commitment to never give up on myself and all the good that has come to me in my life by not giving up, even when it's hard.  I remind myself every time I work through a difficulty, my life is better on the other side. Once I'm not feeling like giving up, I see that thought as no big deal.  I simply choose not to act on that thought.  This opens me up to notice thoughts that are uplifting that I can act on.  Those are the thoughts I choose to act on, leaving thoughts of giving up behind. I offer thought coaching where we work to be more aware of our thoughts and the power we have to choose which to act on.  This is true freedom.  The first coaching session is free to see if we're a fit.  You can make an appointment on my calendar, https://calendly.com/scottfriedman40/30min My books are avaialble on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Realizing our potential

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to maximize my potential.  Over time, I've come to understand my mind creates the world.  To maximize my potential I need to consciously harness my mind.  I need to understand how my mind works and what it is capable of and where it takes its direction from. One of the first things to accept is that my mind is always creating.  It creates from both the conscious and the subconscious.  When I think about realizing my potential, it's important to understand my mind is already creating everything in perfect alignment with my thoughts.  It's just that some of the thoughts are conscious and some are unconscious.  The more I am aware of my conscious thoughts, the more the unconscious thoughts move from the unconscious to the conscious.   Over time, (note that time is created by the mind as well) I've come to increasingly be able to consciously direct my mind and what it creates.  I created a woman in my life who I love and wanted to marry me over 40 years ago (still married).  I created a life focused on spiritual growth which I've come to understand as consciously accepting more and more of what is true.  I left a secure corporate job over 40 years ago because I wanted to make my life all it could be and I believed that could not happen in that job.  All this and more I've created with my mind, as have you. I may be able to help you become more conscious of your thoughts and the power we have to choose which thoughts to act on.  If you want a free introductory session to see if we're a good thought coaching fit, contact me at [email protected] My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to the books on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com

    Advancing win/win in the world

Because the most effective way forward is to have a greater acceptance of what is true right now, I want to share current progress in advancing win/win thinking in the world. Earlier this week I recorded my first podcast interview in which my guest, Chris Johnson, shared a number of win/win experiences from his life.  We relate to and are inspired by other's stories.   Having the clarity to realize this is something I could do, have guests sharing win/win on a podcast, was a step forward in advancing win/win thinking.  Putting it into action and seeing it become part of the physical world was another step forward. The fact that I am succeeding in advancing win/win thinking in the world is confirmation that I am growing in my acceptance of being ONE with all that exists.  In my meditation it has been abundantly clear that progress in more fully accepting and relating to being ONE will result in win/win thinking advancing in the world.  When I see win/win advancing in the world it is confirmation that I am more fully accepting and relating to being ONE.  Accepting being ONE is the cause.  Win/win is the effect. The door is open to those who want to uplift themselves and the world by sharing your win/win experiences.  Contact me at [email protected] to be a guest, or investigate if coaching would be good for you. The more I focus on and act on inspiration, the more my mind and body align with my immutable spirit.   Increasingly I'm seeing this in action.  For example, the thought that no one values what I have to offer is losing strength through acceptance and increasingly allowing what I know to be true to have wider acceptance.  What is true is that what I have to share uplifts me and the whole world.  Anytime any of us is uplifted, the whole world benefits.  Sooooo, share your love, joy, wisdom and inspiration because it benefits you, me and everyone else too. I offer thought coaching.  I create a state of being intensely present allowing devine inspiration to flow providing maximum benefit.  To talk about it doesn't do it justice.  It has to be experienced to appreciate the value.  To set up a free initial coaching session, contact me at [email protected]. Inspiring examples of win/win

Example is the most powerful form of leadership.  Chris Johnson shares examples from his life of win/win in action. The more we identify and imlement win/win solutions, the better is the world we live in.  It's something each of us can do.  The question is, is it worth your time and attention to focus on identiifying and implementing win/win solutions? One of the examples I'm most proud of is my willingness to be myself in situations where I might otherwise be afraid doing that would turn out badly.  I hope I'm an inspiriting example of the courage to be yourself.   I offer thought coaching that helps appreciate and trust yourself more.  If that is of interest or if you'd like to be a guest sharing your win/win examples, contact me at [email protected] My books are available on Amazon.  You can find links to them on my website, www.thoughtcoachingbyscott.com
