Former Fargo City Commissioner Arlette Preston hopes to make Fargo a ward-based city

07/17/26: Fargo Wards for Equal Representation, led by former Fargo City Commissioners Tony Gehrig and Arlette Preston, wants to replace the city’s commission system with a ward-based city council where representatives would be required to live in the areas they serve.
