The Ohio native had his breakthrough figure skating performance at the 1981 U.S. Championships. He would win four consecutive world championships and four consecutive U.S. championships. Then, at the Olympic Winter Games Sarajevo 1984, Hamilton dominated the competition to win the gold medal. After turning professional, Hamilton created the “Stars on Ice” tour and served as a broadcaster for NBC. He also founded the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation and has written several books. Josh Boschee declared victory Tuesday night in a crowded five-way race to become Fargo’s next mayor, as voters also shook up the city commission and overwhelmingly approved an infrastructure tax extension. Boschee, a Democrat-NPL lawmaker representing Fargo’s District 44, secured nearly 47% of the vote. Alison Krauss & Union Station concert relocated to Scheels Arena
06/05/26: Scheels Arena, Bell Bank and Bluestem Amphitheatre have announced the Alison Krauss & Union Station concert originally planned for Bluestem Amphitheatre June 16 has been relocated to the Scheels Arena. After the closure of Jade Presents last week, the future of the concert was unknown. Scheels Arena worked with Bell Bank and other production partners to make sure the concert was still played.
