If you're trying to be perfect, you won't be creative. Or at least you won't be as creative as you could be and you won't have any fun.

I don't know what it is, but somehow, when it comes to writing, there is the expectation of perfection. Of 'doing it right' on the first try. I don't know why this is, but I do know that in order to be a good writer, a writer that bypasses talent but instead taps into creative genius, you have to be willing to let go of being perfect. In fact, you must be willing to fail!

I would love to hear what you think about perfection and failure and being 'good' at your craft. Drop me a line or pop in and tell me more on my website: www.carolynziel.com
