FPR Episode # 66-Ethics 11-7-23

Should penal institutions facilitate a mechanism to voice complaints about treatment? and should families be allowed to advocate for their family member? Or does that undermine the purpose of the incarceration, which can be to teach inmate discipline and learning to abide by rules? Does encouraging advocacy strip the effects of the prison sentence? or is it a legitimate set of checks and balances to prevent injury, death, and mistreatment of human beings? These are ethical questions which warrant a dialogue.
