Fred Kerley said his next 100m race will be a World Record. Is he Crazy or is he right?

On May 14th, Fred Kerley recently took to Twitter and said "World record next time I touch the 100m". That set the Track & Field World on fire with criticism from all angles considering the current record of 9.58 seconds, set by Usain Bolt back in 2009, seems almost unattainable by any current 100m sprinter. But though it may seem crazy on the surface, there is a level of understanding we should have for athletes setting ambitious goals.
