”Free The Chained”

Show #15         5/19/2021 This Show Is One Very Dear To My Heart, Mostly because I am so glad to see the truth being uncovered but more so because of the support these women are receiving from communities worldwide. This was one of my biggest complaints when I went trough my domestic violence hell, the community was not there for me. Tonight's Guest Is Dina Presser, the daughter of an agunah, She Says, "My involvement in the agunah crisis began with being eyewitness to the abuse my mother endured, and continues to as an agunah, chained to a dead marriage, for nearly 17 years."  I graduated Highschool at 24 years old with hopes of becoming an attorney. (I went on to pursue an undergrad in Talmudic law and Halacha; then graduated from pace law school) I worked for a civil rights firm; very passionate about human rights and civil rights. As a justice and truth seeker, I chose this career path in order to advocate for those who do not have a voice of their own. What drives me is my deep-seated passion to make a difference and bring about change.  I chose law school to use my passion for making a difference and bringing about change. I will be practicing matrimonial law. I get the full story — hear both sides— help mediate between get refusers and their wives  (Get = Jewish Divorce) I’m Focused on the bigger issue: normalizing prenups, amending the laws around get (Jewish Divorce) refusal, and what constitutes domestic abuse ; She has received so much support, that they have been rallying all around NY, their last one had over 300 people and views on Instagram in the thousands.  Her mother a quiet  woman who has raised her 6 children and lived her life quietly for the last 17years was so overwhelmed by all the support Free Lonna NOW!!
