from PHIT PD · host PHIT PD

He is a decorated United States Marine and a recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in during war time in Anbar Province, Iraq, where he risked his life to support another squad under attack and was injured by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED).  Refusing to let his service end with the Marine Corps, he continued his mission of protecting others by joining the police department in 2015.  Just three years later, in 2018, he again found himself in the crucible of danger.  He responded to a disturbance call where he and his partners were met with an armed suspect ready to engage in a gunfight.  Struck by three bullets, he stood his ground-shielding his wounded partner from oncoming gunfire, proving once again that his instinct is to protect others before himself.Today, he carries forward a message of resilience, honor and duty, seeking to inspire the next generation to serve their country and their community.  #bulletproofmindset ##resilient #police #podcastclips #policeofficer #cops #lawenforcement #firstresponder
