From Complex To Queens, Episode 281: 2024 Draft Reactions, Day 2

Welcome to From Complex to Queens, Home Run Applesauce’s podcast focusing on the Mets’ minor league system. We were generally positive with the selections on Day 1, and that continued into Day 2 (live thread here). The Mets continued to take injured arms with real stuff upside and sprinkled in a prep shortstop with promising traits and one of the better senior signings in the entire draft class. More importantly, it really seems like Chris Gross has fully take control of the Mets drafting apparatus, pushing out any remnants of previous regimes in favor of his preferred drafting strategies. That is almost undoubtedly a good thing. We’ll be back tomorrow with our final reaction podcast for the 2024 draft.
