FROM PASSOVER TO CROSS-OVER - Bro Sam Kputu (APRIL 30, 2023)

“The blood shall be a sign for you on [the doorposts of] the houses where you live; when I see the blood, I shall pass over you, and no affliction shall happen to you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.” (Exodus 12:13 AMP) • Passover commemorates the Biblical story of Exodus - where God freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. • The blood of the lamb shed, and its presence on the doorsteps of the Israelites as a witness, brought deliverance, liberty, and hope. • Yet, the Passover and Exodus were but just foreshadows of a future deliverance and redemption for all those who believe in God through Jesus Christ. • The Lamb of Passover was a type of Christ, the slaughter slabs a shadow of the cross. The doorpost foreshadowed our hearts sprinkled with the blood, and the Exodus a shadow of our cross-over (our redemption through the cross of Christ).
