FROM THE BAR TO THE BAFTAS; Film director Rich Peppiatt on how he got Kneecap to make the movie

Rich Peppiatt has recently picked up a number of awards for directing the smash hit movie Kneecap. He tells about how after recently moving to Belfast from London, he went to watch a Kneecap concert. After seeing that show he knew he wanted to make a film about them. So, he spent the next number of weeks trying to track them down. When he eventually made contact he talks about they werent sure about the film idea and they didnt him. Rich ended up having to prove he was trustworthy by drinking all night with the boys in a west Belfast pub. After proving he could keep up with the rap trio they welcomed him into their world. Rich talks about the process of making the film and how he was able to get Hollywood A lister, Michael Fassbender, involved.
