如果有人说，福音是对人没有要求的。你只要信耶稣，你的罪就会被赦免。你重此可以随便根据自己的意念生活，你死后不定会上天堂。这是一个错误的教导。一方面，福音是神赐给人的恩典，罪人作什么都不能救自己，人唯一的盼望是得到神的恩典，就是救恩。另一方面，已经被神拯救的人，福音对我们有要求。因为耶稣基督的福音，是改变生命的福音。福音不单只赦免我们的罪，福音也使我们脱离罪，胜过罪，过圣洁的生活。
