As we continue this teaching on devotion, Pator Gene begins to walk through the book of Hebrews. This book has many warnings in it, and one warns to not drift from Jesus. It is easy to become casual about following Jesus, and to forget in the day-to-day just how good He is. But He, Jesus, was never casual about being a sacrifice for each of us. He showed up willing to surrender everything so that we could be perfect in the eyes of our Father. Some of us have given up so much to follow Jesus. Why stop now? Why get relaxed or casual about being devoted to the King of Kings and Lord or Lords, the One who laid down His life for us? Only the best of our destinies are ahead, so why turn back now?
