By blending sharp, lyrical prose with deep psychological realism, Luce tackles the complexities of American culture, grief, systemic oppression, and LGBTQIA+ identity.During his career as an educator and trainer, he wrote numerous professional articles, book chapters, promotional materials, scripts for training videos, etc., and has made numerous presentations at local, state, and national conferences. As an amateur actor, he performed in and directed numerous plays and appeared in many student film productions. After earning his BA degree from SUNY Brockport, he obtained an MA and PhD from Ohio University (Creative Writing, American Literature, Rhetoric). Additionally, he is an artist who has created many paintings (oil, acrylics, watercolors).
