Snakes are the original universal human boogeyman. There's all sorts of evidence for that proposition. But the myths support this too. The snake and the oldest dragons have more in common than the fire breathing children of Kalesi or Smog from Tolkien fame. What did these serpents represent whether guardian or enemy?
