Garden Views E.62 The Kurdish Questions

from Garden of Thought · host Jeff Lippman

Darius Kamali has been in the Garden several times. He hosts "The Persian Version", runs a Facebook Group devoted to the Iranic peoples and history. He's also worked for Non Governmental Organizations including International Tribunals. Much of this work involved the Kurds and their diaspora. Most notably, in the borders of Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. So we explore who are the Kurds, why is their situation so complex, and how religion, custom and democracy create a puzzle that remains hard to resolve for what is often referred to as the largest stateless population.
