from Song, Scripture, and My Thoughts · host N

Song Recommendation. Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies) by Chris Tomlin. Corrections: At times, I messed up on names. A couple of areas I said Jacob’s name instead of Isaac’s name. I also mistakenly said the younger son would serve the older son. The older son does serve the younger son because this was God’s plan. :-) Chalk it up to tiredness. Scripture read: Genesis 27, Genesis 22:18, Zechariah 13: 7-9, & 14:9 and Matthew 8:11. I paraphrased from the following passages: Genesis 25:22&23, Malachi 1-2&3, Romans 2:29 & John 8:39-47. ***God chooses who He chooses, blesses who He blesses and curses who He curses. This can only come from God and not from a human on their own initiative. God is always involved. God doesn’t make mistakes. It was always supposed to be through Jacob and not Esau. The birth of Isaac the son of promise, and the continued linage through Jacob all the way to Jesus. We are the spiritual descendants of Abraham heirs of the covenant promises. This promise is fulfilled through Jesus, who is the offspring of Abraham and the one through whom all nations are blessed (Galatians 3:16). Jesus Christ is also fully God because He was conceived of the Holy Spirit. Mary was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit. Matt. 1:18. of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. Luke 1:27. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will over shadow you: and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:34&35.
