Geoffrey Rush: Australian actor on his new film The Rule of Jenny Pen

from The Sunday Session with Francesca Rudkin · host Newstalk ZB

Geoffrey Rush has maintained a long-running acting career - and his latest film is set to explore the horrors that can come with old age. Rush has made a name for himself on the big screen, appearing in films like Shakespeare in Love, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The King’s Speech - to name a few. He's set to star in Kiwi director James Ashcroft's The Rule of Jenny Pen, a film set in a drab retirement home in the North Island. "It's about bullying, really. And I asked James - why did you write this? He said - I've got three daughters and they're all less than 12 and I've always been intrigued by the genre of thriller or mystery or horror, but I'm more concerned about consequences."  LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
