Geothermal Exploration Advances in Saint Lucia

The Renewable Energy Sector Development Project continues to make progress toward geothermal exploration, with more than $526,000 in additional compensation paid to affected households, bringing total compensation to nearly $1 million. Cabinet has also approved 7.34 acres of land for exploration, while preparations continue for seismic monitoring stations, site works and the drilling of three exploration wells.
