Get Off the Porch (Luke 15:11-32)
from CreeksideDM · host CreeksideDM
Roy Kosin :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, March 4, 2018 Our response when we see others rejoicing is a good indication of whether we really appreciate God’s grace. Following announcements and special music from the Emmaus Bible College Ensemble, guest speaker from Emmaus Roy Kosin presents a message from Luke 15. Instead of focusing on the returning prodigal son, Roy uses the story’s older brother as an important lesson in understanding God’s grace. In his jealousy, he was so was hung up on the father’s celebration of his little brother’s homecoming that he missed the fact that he was invited to the feast too. Sometimes we are the older brother, mistaking the evidence of grace (the Father’s blessing of others) for grace itself (the Father Himself). Roy challenges us to get off the porch and join the party.
