Get Real - Resolving Everyday Conflict Series (Nathan Holland)

This week in church, Nathan continued our series, Resolving Everyday Conflict, with his message, Get Real, focusing on the second gospel principle for conflict resolution: Own My Part (The "Me" section of the God, Me, You, Us framework). Nathan taught that "The fight is not the failure; our response to it can be," but we often fail because we look at the "speck" in others' eyes while ignoring the "plank" in our own (Matthew 7:1-5). Drawing on Genesis 4:1-16 (Cain and Abel), he stressed that unresolved desires become idols that fuel our destructive conflict responses (Fleeing or Attacking).
