Odds are, you’ve passed some closed stations. Or maybe you’ve seen that photo showing all the railway lines that have closed in the last 100 years. Ireland once had a comprehensive railway network. Today, however, despite record passenger numbers, trains are often slow, overcrowded, or delayed. But there is a plan to change that.
