Getting back on track in Florida

The Edmonton Oilers' four-game road trip continues tonight versus the Florida Panthers. Unfortunately, the beginning of the road trip did not go as planned, as the Oilers fell 6-4 to the Tampa Bay Lightning after holding the lead going into the third period. The depth scoring showed up for Edmonton, with goals coming from Derek Ryan (twice), James Hamblin and Evan Bouchard. However, neither Connor McDavid nor Leon Draisaitl could find the back of the net, which ultimately proved to be the difference. Tonight, they will look to get back on the straight and narrow against a Panthers team with a 7-2-1 record in their last ten games. Calvin Pickard gets the nod between the pipes over Stuart Skinner, who has won three of his previous four games. To set you up for tonight's game, Tyler Yaremchuk will host a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday and will be joined by Liam Horrobin and Jay Downton. The three will discuss what happened on Saturday and what to expect from the Panthers tonight. Additionally, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will appear on the show. Rumours started to swirl over the week that Edmonton have expressed heavy interest in Montreal Canadiens goaltender Cayden Primeau, Jake Allen and Samuel Montembeault.
