In de historische bibliotheek van Teylers Museum staan verschillende wetenschappelijke boeken die door de eeuwen heen verboden zijn door de Kerk of de Staat. Maar de laatste jaren worden weer steeds meer boeken verboden – en niet alleen in het Amerika van Donald Trump. Wat zijn de gevolgen van het uitwissen van informatie? En welke boeken liggen onder vuur? De tentoonstelling Gevaarlijke boeken – 500 jaar Wetenschap onder vuur in Teylers Museum gaat over de geschiedenis van censuur in Amerika en Europa. In OVT Doc daarom de documentaire ‘Gevaarlijke boeken!’ die programmamaker Dide Vonk maakte voor het Museum.
