GHS Boys Fall in Final Game Before Holiday Break Against Danville

The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team fell in their final game before the holiday break to the Danville Vikings, 73-66. The Streaks seemed to have been fighting from behind all night after a tough first quarter. Despite some great stretches including erasing an 18-point deficit with a 17-3 run, they would have stretches were they struggled. The Streaks did not score a point in the second half until the five minute mark in the third quarter which included a stretch of six consecutive missed free throws. The Streaks fall to 4-8 on the year. Junior Cody Jones was named the Dave's Auto Body Crunch-Time Player of the Game for being a spark off the bench for the Streaks. He had a crucial rebound in the third and finished with 4 points. The Streaks will be back after Christmas on Wednesday (12/27) to take on Marion in the Taylorville Holiday Tournament.
