Padre de Francesca Caccini, la primera mujer reconocida en la historia de la música occidental como la compositora de una ópera, Giulio Caccini músico de la corte florentina de los Medici, fue enterrado un día como hoy en 1618 en la basílica de la Santissima Annunziata de Florencia. Caccini, escribió tres óperas que se cuentan entre las más antiguas que se conocen. Sin embargo, lo que hoy escucharemos es su dramática y conmovedora Ave María que fue conocida en el siglo XX gracias a un músico ruso Vladimir Vavilov y que se le atribuye a Giulio. Dicha atribución aún se encuentra en tela de juicio y aunque muchos afirman que definitivamente no es de este compositor renacentista, las dudas simplemente pierden peso al escuchar la belleza de la obra. A continuación Ave María atribuido a Caccini en la voz e interpretación de la bandura ucraniana de Nataliya Gudziy.
