When we open God's Word with honest and careful study, we find that Scripture does not leave us without assurance — but instead anchors our hope in the promises of God Himself. The apostle Paul writes in Romans 8:18 (KJV), "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." This powerful reminder from God's Word lifts our eyes beyond the trials of this life and fixes them on the eternal hope that awaits those who are faithful. When we commit ourselves to what the Bible actually says about heaven, we find that Scripture is sufficient to sustain us through every hardship — filling our hearts with a hope that the world cannot offer and cannot take away — strengthening our confidence in God's Word as our reliable and authoritative guide.
