Giving Holiness to the Kohen

In Parshat Nasso, the Torah connects giving gifts to the Kohen with the Parshah of Sotah, teaching that generosity and simcha (joy) bring berachah (blessing) into the home. Rebbe Nachman explains that mitzvot done with simcha open the channels of berachah, especially through the Kohanim, who represent blessing. When a person withholds what belongs to holiness, it reflects inner constriction and sadness, which can affect Shalom Bayit and reveal deeper problems in the home. The Torah is showing two paths: harshness, suspicion and negativity, or simcha, giving and tefillah (prayer).
