The Power of Simcha, Sincere Prayer, and the Priceless Gift of Rebbe Nachman’s Teachings
Reb Noson expresses profound gratitude for meriting to learn the teachings of Rebbe Nachman, recognizing that they originate from the highest spiritual realms and are carefully filtered before reaching this world, making them a unique source of transformation and closeness to Hashem. Genuine simcha in serving Hashem is presented as essential, with even simple daily mitzvot such as wearing tzitzit and tefillin viewed as priceless privileges and eternal accomplishments that should fill a person with joy and appreciation. True humility means recognizing one’s smallness before Hashem while still valuing every good deed and point of spiritual growth. Prayer is most effective when offered with emet and sincerity, and one can strengthen it by connecting to the merit of the tzaddikim, whose guidance and assistance help elevate a person’s service of Hashem. Simcha unlocks the power of prayer to draw Divine light and sustenance through all dimensions of creation, teaching that maintaining joy and gratitude even during hardship opens the way to renewed hope, blessing, and spiritual advancement. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Secret of Intercalation/Leap Years
The deep spiritual mechanics behind human challenges and divine intervention by connecting Rebbe Nachman’s teachings on the "running and returning" of the mind with the kabalistic mystery of calendar intercalation (Sod Ha'Ibur). When a person enthusiastically pursues godliness (symbolized by the sun), they eventually hit a spiritual barrier and bounce back into a state of confusion or lack of perception (symbolized by the moon). This sudden fallback scrambles the mind's cognitive faculties, multiplying them to form nine hidden chambers or vessels that filter the infinite divine light into our lives, allowing us to miraculously pass daily tests without understanding how. Historically, only the greatest sages—like Rabbi Akiva or Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai—could consciously perceive these chambers or master Sod Ha'Ibur, the mathematical and mystical process of adding a thirteenth month to align the 354-day lunar year with the 365-day solar year. This 11-day disparity represents a dark "twilight zone" of trapped holy sparks, and by intercalation, the sages spiritually extend the year like a pregnancy to give these lost sparks a second chance to be reborn and rectified. Ultimately, the discourse emphasizes that both our spiritual highs and frustrating setbacks are intentionally paired to create the necessary harmony and vessels for receiving divine light. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Korach - Exchanging Strife for Joy
In Parshat Korach, Korach’s rebellion against Aharon reveals the danger of lacking simcha (joy) and being unable to accept one’s portion. The Zohar teaches that Korach wanted to exchange left and right—placing the Levi’im (Levites), associated with gevurah (strength/restraint), in the place of the Kohanim (priests), associated with chesed (kindness) and berachah (blessing). Rebbe Nachman explains that this type of exchange comes from the Heichal HaTemurot (Chamber of Exchanges), where confusion makes jealousy and strife look like righteousness. Aharon, by contrast, merited the Kehunah (priesthood) because of his joy in Moshe’s greatness, showing that simcha activates berachah and opens the way to the Keter and Hashem’s Infinite Light. The lesson is to choose the path of Aharon—peace, humility and joy in serving Hashem—rather than the path of Korach, where jealousy and dissatisfaction lead to machloket (strife). This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Serving Hashem with Joy, Even in Imperfection
THIS CLASS HAS BEEN DEDICATED AND SPONSORED BY MIA SHERWOOD LANDAU IN LOVING MEMORY OF REBBITZEN CHAYA RIVKA ZWOLINSKI A"H. MAY HER NESHAMAH BE INCLUDED AND ELEVATED WITH THE SOULS AND MERIT OF THE TRUE TZADDIKIM, IN PARTICULAR WITH REBBE NACHMAN BEN FEIGA ZY"A AMEN.The gateway to the deepest teachings of the Zohar is Simcha, as revealed by Rebbe Nachman. Even when mitzvot or prayer are performed with imperfect focus or under difficult circumstances, sincere effort accompanied by joy has immense spiritual value and opens a person to higher levels of Divine understanding. Maintaining happiness in serving Hashem, expressing gratitude, and refusing to become discouraged by setbacks are essential foundations for spiritual growth, while excessive self-criticism and dwelling on painful subjects can weaken a person’s avodah. Reb Noson stressed that these insights were received from the “Elder of Holiness,” Rebbe Nachman, whose teachings provide a unique path to accessing the Infinite Light, overcoming the resistance of the Yetzer Hara, and progressing steadily through joy, hope, and unwavering determination. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Missing Alef and the Lack of Joy
In Parshat Shelach, the Torah describes the unusual korbanot (offerings) brought when the Sanhedrin mistakenly permits a form of idolatry, with the olah (burnt offering) coming before the chatat (sin offering), and the word chatat missing the letter alef. Rebbe Nachman explains that idolatry begins in the mind, especially through ta’avat mamon (desire for money), which becomes a subtle form of avodah zarah (idol worship) when a person looks to money instead of Hashem for security and salvation. The missing alef hints to the loss of peleh (wonder), the Keter, which is accessed through simcha (joy). When simcha is missing, the mind becomes confused, hishtadlut (effort) turns into panic and money can become an idol. The correction is to restore simcha, remember that Hashem is the true source of parnassah (livelihood), and use money as a tool for holiness rather than treating it as the source of life. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE IRRATIONAL ANTISEMITISM TODAY
The Nature of Current Antisemitism: The modern rise in antisemitism has transitioned from a political conflict into a widespread, blind hatred of Jewish people that cannot be rationalized, reasoned with, or resolved through logical debate. The Concept of Spiritual Nourishment: All beings have a designated source of spiritual nourishment. In Kabbalistic and Hasidic thought, human beings—and specifically Jewish people—derive their nourishment from a higher spiritual plane called bina (understanding, associated with the heart), whereas animals and the physical nations of the world draw their sustenance from a lower, material plane. The Cause of Tribal and National Conflict: When the Jewish people neglect their specific spiritual duties, Torah study, and divine connection, they blemish their access to bina. To find sustenance, they are spiritually forced to draw from the lower, material bounty designated for the nations of the world. The Origin of the Hatred: The nations subconsciously perceive this cosmic encroachment as a direct threat to their own survival and livelihood. Their irrational hatred and hostility function as a defensive reaction against Jews occupying their material domain and depleting their assigned worldly bounty. The Influence of Ishmael: The hardest exile for the Jewish people is under the descendants of Ishmael, whose actions are driven entirely by misplaced, emotion-based faith (emuna) completely devoid of rational logic or human laws, making advocacy and dialogue ineffective. The Only Solution: Conventional defense mechanisms, advocacy organizations, and secular success fail to halt this hatred. The only way to stop the hostility is for the Jewish people to collectively return to their unique spiritual purpose and connection to God, which automatically restores the proper cosmic balance of nourishment and removes the root cause of the conflict.

Unlocking Divine Blessing and Spiritual Renewal Through Joyful Mitzvot, Personal Prayer, and Sincere Devotion
Rebbe Nachman’s Lesson 24 reveals that performing mitzvot with simcha unlocks spiritual momentum, drawing holiness out of concealment and activating divine blessing according to a person’s deepest ratzon, whether for material needs or closeness to Hashem. The ultimate blessing is the fusion of intellect with emunah, creating keter, which organizes the mind, enables a person to absorb spiritual growth, and transforms life’s setbacks into opportunities for deeper development. This teaching, rooted in the profound revelations of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in the Zohar, was later illuminated by Rebbe Nachman in a practical way, showing that the highest levels—including connection to the Infinite Light—are accessible to every Jew through joyful mitzvot and sincere service of Hashem. Direct personal prayer in one’s own words, available to every individual regardless of level, remains a central path to this connection, as Hashem listens to all who call upon Him with sincerity. The teachings emphasize that those most spiritually challenged require the greatest guidance, that aspiring to the highest levels is essential even for maintaining basic Jewish life, and that finding value in simple acts of devotion provides the foundation for all future growth. Building on the revolution of the Baal Shem Tov, which restored dignity to the service of simple Jews, Rebbe Nachman’s path offers hope, renewal, and unprecedented spiritual rectification, teaching that through simcha, emunah, personal prayer, and attachment to the true tzaddikim, every person can rise from their struggles and draw near to Hashem. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Complaints of the Keter
In Parshat Beha’alotkha, the Torah describes how the Jewish people left Har Sinai after receiving the Torah, only to fall into complaint during the journey through the desert. The unusual prefix in the word “kemit’onenim” points to the letter kaf, which is connected to the Keter—the spiritual barrier that pushes a person back when he comes close to the Infinite Light. Rebbe Nachman explains that this pushback is not rejection, but a test: will a person turn the descent into yearning for Hashem, or into bitterness and complaint? The failure of the complainers was that they lacked simcha and saw the journey as evil instead of using the difficulty to express ratzon and longing. The lesson is that every person faces moments when the light is taken away, but through simcha, gratitude and honest prayer, the descent itself becomes the vessel for receiving greater light. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Frustration in Waiting and Believing
The spiritual test of life lies in balancing the desire for intellectual clarity with the tolerance for uncertainty, a concept illustrated by the cosmic relationship between the sun and the moon. The sun represents absolute clarity, while the moon represents the state of "not knowing." The moon's ancient complaint regarding its equal status to the sun stems from a deep frustration and jealousy over this lack of immediate understanding. This cosmic event directly parallels the sin of Adam in Eden, who failed to wait patiently for Shabbat to safely receive the fruits of knowledge. Both the moon and Adam let their burning desire for immediate perception override the necessity for patience, resulting in their spiritual and physical diminishment. This impatience is the root of all human downfalls; when confronted with the frustrations of an unclear path, individuals often fracture under pressure rather than utilizing the friction as a spiritual vessel. Ultimately, the true test is learning to "shift gears" into patience and faith during periods of darkness, recognizing that "not knowing" is an essential phase of growth. Even when failure resets progress to zero, maintaining a sincere internal desire to align with divine will transforms a fallback into a foundational lesson of humility that allows one to start anew. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. From Simcha to the Infinite Light
Every Jew can access profound spiritual growth through genuine simcha. The Zohar's concept of the "nine chambers that are not light," - that when a person serves Hashem with joy through the performance of mitzvot, the mind is elevated toward the Infinite Light while remaining protected by the keter, the boundary that separates finite human perception from the infinite. The three intellectual faculties—Chochmah, Binah, and Daa't—interact and combine into nine spiritual chambers that serve as vessels for the light that cannot be directly grasped. These chambers enable a person to be extracted from the "chamber of exchanges," where good and evil, truth and confusion, become intermixed. Simcha is the primary key to this process, with the joy experienced in performing a mitzvah being even greater than the mitzvah itself because it opens the channels for higher intellect and spiritual perception. Rebbe Nachman's method of teaching introduces glimpses of higher truths and then conceals them, drawing a person into deeper personal and spiritual development. Spiritual advancement requires balancing the pursuit of closeness to Hashem with practical engagement in everyday life, recognizing that challenges, setbacks, and periods of constriction are essential components of growth and become the very means through which a person reaches higher levels. This path remains firmly within the framework of halacha while acknowledging that each individual has a unique mission and route of service. Through steadfast joy, even amid difficulty and exile, a person can transcend confusion, receive greater clarity of mind, connect to higher spiritual realities, and move steadily toward their personal tikkunThis class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Giving Holiness to the Kohen
In Parshat Nasso, the Torah connects giving gifts to the Kohen with the Parshah of Sotah, teaching that generosity and simcha (joy) bring berachah (blessing) into the home. Rebbe Nachman explains that mitzvot done with simcha open the channels of berachah, especially through the Kohanim, who represent blessing. When a person withholds what belongs to holiness, it reflects inner constriction and sadness, which can affect Shalom Bayit and reveal deeper problems in the home. The Torah is showing two paths: harshness, suspicion and negativity, or simcha, giving and tefillah (prayer). By choosing simcha and supporting holiness, a person draws blessing into his life, his marriage and all of Am Yisrael. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. How Knowing and Not-Knowing are Really One
The sun and moon represent the unified spiritual processes of knowing and not knowing, or advancement and setback. While the sun follows a constant path of clear perception, the moon's cycle of waxing and waning reflects the necessary moments of darkness and withdrawal that allow a person to build the vessels needed to receive infinite divine light. Because both states are equal and essential for spiritual progression, the moon was initially created as a "big light" before being diminished. Ultimately, true growth is not a linear, day-by-day advancement, but a lifelong journey where life's setbacks and periods of "not knowing" serve as the exact mechanism for building greater maturity, perception, and closeness to the Divine. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Precedence of the Moon over the Sun
The lesson connects these spiritual themes to the physical cosmos through a specific verse from Psalm 104, which states that the moon was made to mark the seasons and the sun knows its setting place. This scriptural reference serves to illustrate the cosmic interplay between light and darkness, mirroring the human cycle of spiritual highs and lows. The constant, unchanging light of the sun symbolizes the ultimate clarity of divine perception, whereas the waxing and waning of the moon represents periods of spiritual diminishment, concealment, and personal setbacks. Rather than viewing these dark phases as failures, the lesson asserts that the moon's periods of obscurity are a necessary design, providing the essential space for reflection, humility, and the building of an inner vessel required to truly receive and appreciate the infinite light. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Articulating and Enunciating your Yearning and Desire for Hashem
Giving tzedakah to tzaddikim and supporting the dissemination of their teachings—specifically the elevated "Torah of Mashiach" found in Rebbe Nachman’s and Reb Noson’s writings—is essential for reaching assimilated souls and infusing the giver with *ratzon* (spiritual yearning). Because Torah connects to infinite light, no mitzvah can ever be performed perfectly, making continuous heartfelt yearning more important than mere intellectual knowledge or accomplishment. To catalyze spiritual progress and personal salvation, this internal desire must be articulated aloud, as verbalized yearning gives life to thoughts, enters the physical world, and can spiritually awaken others. Ultimately, this post-Shavuot teaching emphasizes that while standard Torah study is insufficient for today's unprecedented spiritual crisis, joyfully investing in and spreading the tzaddik's sweet, foundational light found in his Torah teachings provides the ultimate weapon for survival in exile, provided that individuals continually balance their achievements by returning to a state of humble, expressed longing for the general good and personal growth. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Extracting Ruth from the Chamber of Exchanges
The story of Ruth reveals the challenge of extracting holiness trapped within the “Chamber of Exchanges” (“Heichal HaTemurot”), where confusion, impurity, and despair conceal sparks of redemption. Reb Noson explains that when a Jew feels overwhelmed by darkness and unable to find simcha on his own, the answer is attachment to the Tzaddikim, who possess the power to shine light even into the lowest places. Ruth, emerging from Moav to become the ancestor of King David and Mashiach, embodies the hidden holiness waiting to be redeemed. Through the power of Tehillim, heartfelt simplicity, and connection to the true Tzaddikim, a person can overcome confusion, break through spiritual barriers, and find his true path back to Hashem and redemption. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Blessing of the Keter through Joy
The Power of Joy, Connection, and DisseminationJoy and the Keter: Serving Hashem with simcha (joy) activates divine blessing, elevating creation to the Keter (the highest spiritual crown). This connection unlocks the Infinite Light, bringing healing, livelihood, and salvation. Yitzchak Avinu embodied this reality; his name means laughter, and his joy brought immense prosperity and healing to the world. The Power of the Disciple: Reb Noson successfully transmitted Rebbe Nachman’s teachings through absolute bitul (self-nullification) and emunah (faith). Just as Yehoshua did for Moshe, Reb Noson nullified his own vast wisdom to become a perfect vessel, transforming lofty concepts into practical guidance to prepare the world for Mashiach.Charity and the Festivals: Giving tzedakah to spread the teachings of the tzaddikim directly triggers the blessings of the Keter. This spiritual elevation is mirrored in the holidays: Sukkot sparks joy, Pesach frees us from impurity through trust, and Shavuot culminates in receiving the Torah at the level of Keter.Resilience and Miracles: True holy joy anchors a person in awe of Heaven rather than emptiness. It provides the resilience to persevere through hardships, bypass natural limitations, and experience the ongoing global impact of Rebbe Nachman's vision today. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Liaison of Levi
In Parshat BaMidbar, the tribe of Levi is chosen to stand between Am Yisrael and the Kohanim, serving as a spiritual “liaison” that protects holiness while helping the Jewish people connect to Hashem. Rebbe Nachman explains the concept of “matei v’lo matei”—reaching and not reaching—where true spiritual growth comes through balance, boundaries, and maintaining simcha even during ups and downs. The shiur also explores how the Levi’im’s holy music created connection and joy in the Beit HaMikdash, and how the concept of Levi is tied to marriage itself, where lasting connection depends on spiritual harmony, patience, and remaining connected through all of life’s changes. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The spiritual significance of the sun and moon is examined as a physical manifestation of the "Infinite Light," explaining that their dual existence mirrors the essential human process of spiritual growth. Rooted in the concepts of "running and returning" (*ratzo v'shov*), the sun represents the mind’s drive toward clarity and divine perception, while the moon represents the necessary periods of diminishment or "bouncing back" where light is obscured. Although the moon was diminished, the Torah initially refers to them as "two big lights" because the phases of darkness are not failures but vital components of a unified process; it is specifically through the "setbacks" and the lack of immediate understanding that a person creates the spiritual vessels necessary to receive and contain divine light. Ultimately, the lesson teaches that true spiritual stability is achieved by maintaining faith (*emunah*) during these dark intervals, recognizing that the "return" phase is just as integral to connecting with the Infinite as the "run" forward. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Desire that Overrides Obstacles
A personal account of the arduous Lag BaOmer pilgrimage to Meron serves as a spiritual masterclass on the power of Ratzon (will). Despite government closures, physical pain, and police checkpoints, persistence enabled him to reach the gravesite of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, an experience he described as a vital "spiritual recharge" for the year. By drawing parallels between his difficult journey and the historical obstacles faced by Reb Noson, this illustrates a core teaching of Rebbe Nachman: that intense yearning and the determination to overcome barriers are essential components of divine service and the spreading of holy teachingsThis class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Prosecution of the Moon
The lesson explores the spiritual dynamics of the moon’s "prosecution" and its subsequent diminution as a central theme in understanding the nature of exile and redemption. It explains that the moon’s claim—that "two kings cannot share one crown"—represented a challenge to the singular unity of Divine light, leading to its reduction in size and loss of independent luminosity. This "prosecution" is described as the root of spiritual concealment and the reason the moon must constantly undergo a cycle of waning and waxing. The concept of "Sanctifying the Moon" (Kiddush Levanah) is presented as the essential rectification for this historical fall. By sanctifying the moon, we are not just observing a lunar cycle, but actively participating in the restoration of its light to its original, full state. The teaching emphasizes that this process is meant to demonstrate that the moon (representing the Jewish people and the attribute of Malchut) will eventually be renewed like the sun, which remains constant and unchanging. This renewal signifies the overcoming of the "prosecution" and the ultimate unification of the sun and moon's light, where the receiver becomes as great as the giver, and the darkness of exile is fully transformed into light. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Escaping the Exchange
In Parshat Behar-Bechukotai, the Torah’s laws of temurah (exchange) hint to the spiritual “Chamber of Exchanges,” where a person’s holiness can become trapped in darkness. Rebbe Nachman and Reb Noson explain that the way out begins through amirah (speech)—specifically confession and honest prayer. By admitting one’s mistakes and expressing the desire to return to Hashem, a person releases himself from despair and begins to recover the holiness that was lost, ultimately finding the joy that leads him back to freedom. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Parshat Emor - The Sages and the Festivals
In Parshat Emor, the Torah gives the Sages the authority to sanctify time—through leap years and the new moon—even if it appears mistaken. This reflects the role of the Tzaddikim, who can enter the deepest confusion—the “Chamber of Exchanges”—to rescue lost souls. By expanding holiness, like adding a thirteenth month, they create space for those farthest away to return, teaching that even in darkness, renewal and connection to Hashem are always possible. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Jewish Quality of Survival and Triumph
The concept of "falling on one's face" as a form of profound humility and self-nullification before the Divine, emphasizing that true spiritual elevation often requires a period of descent or concealment of the soul's light. These moments of darkness and perceived distance from God are not failures but essential stages in the refinement of one's faith and character, allowing a person to eventually access higher levels of consciousness. Maintaining their devotion even during times of spiritual struggle, viewing every challenge as a hidden opportunity for growth and ultimate connection to the Infinite. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Searching for the Truth... Even When Lacking
(Lag BaOmer reveals the light of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and Rebbe Nachman, both rooted in Netzach and Hod, a כוח that empowers endurance and guiding others at the end of exile, with this period offering access to their merit through simcha, tefillah, and visiting kevarim of tzaddikim;) truth is described as “ne’ederet” from Book of Isaiah 59:15—both lacking and scattered—requiring sincere seekers to search through confusion, disagreements, and false presentations of Torah, understanding that such tests are part of refining אמת with אמונה; before the redemption false leaders will arise, illustrated by the parable of the Hungarian wine merchant, yet those who have tasted authentic truth will not be deceived, reinforcing the mission of spreading the light despite opposition as seen in the mesirut nefesh of Reb Noson to reveal Rebbe Nachman’s teachings to the world, alongside the perspective that spiritual vitality is not limited by age; the avodah is to persist in seeking אמת, rely on the תפילות of tzaddikim, and daven for guidance in Hashem’s truth using the words of King David in Psalm 25.This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Bypassing the Frustration With Emunah
This video explores the Chassidic significance of the Red Heifer as a profound spiritual paradox, where the process of purifying the "spiritually dead" requires the pure to temporarily lower their own standing for the sake of another. The heifer’s transition from fiery red passion to humble gray ash represents the necessary refinement of human ego and desire into radical humility. Ultimately, this *Chok* (supra-rational decree) serves as a blueprint for spiritual recovery, teaching that by surrendering intellectual logic and embracing total faith, even the most profound states of apathy and disconnection can be transformed into vibrant holiness, paving the way for the final purification of the world in the Messianic era. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Shabbat vs. Parents and the Holy Temple
In Parshat Kedoshim, the Torah places Shabbat alongside honoring parents and reverence for the Beit HaMikdash to teach a critical balance. While parents and the Temple represent the system of creation—light and vessels, building and doing—Shabbat represents the ultimate goal: direct connection to Hashem. Even the greatest acts of creation and service must not override that connection.Rebbe Nachman explains that a person can become so involved in mitzvot, learning, and spiritual activity that he forgets the purpose behind it all. Shabbat—and its daily parallel, hitbodedut (personal prayer)—restores that awareness. It reminds a person why he is here. The message is clear: engage fully in life and avodat Hashem, but never lose the inner connection. That connection is the essence of everything. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. Bringing the Raw Materials...
THIS CLASS HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY AVRAHAM BEN RACHEL AND FAMILY - IN THE MERIT OF REBBE NACHMAN BEN FEIGA MAY THEY MERIT TO MUCH SUCCESS BOTH IN SPIRTUAL AND PHYSICAL MATTERS, ONLY HAVING TRUE SIMCHA THROUGHOUT LIFE, AMEN.Describes the difficulty of publishing and spreading the teachings of Rebbe Nachman despite strong opposition and personal weakness, emphasizing persistence in avodat Hashem even under pressure. Severe poverty among Breslover chassidim in Jerusalem during 1942 illustrates this struggle, including an account of Reb Laizer, who wished to donate his inheritance to support the Breslov yeshiva but was dissuaded by others. The verse in Book of Nehemiah describing weakened builders carrying heavy loads parallels this reality, reflecting how spiritual work often feels exhausting and obstructed. Even so, simple acts of tefillah, yearning, and devotion continue to build enduring spiritual structures, showing that steady effort—no matter how small—ultimately overcomes obstacles and brings lasting growth. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The 40 Days of Waiting
In Parshat Tazria/Metzora, the Torah’s requirement for a woman to wait 40 or 80 days after childbirth reveals a deeper spiritual principle—that true growth comes through waiting. Rebbe Nachman teaches that accessing the Infinite Light (Keter) requires a pushback, a delay that builds vessels. The waiting period allows the mother to internalize the light generated through the creation of life, which itself is a moment of connection to the Infinite. The doubling for a girl reflects an added dimension of future potential, as she too carries the capacity for creation. This process teaches that setbacks, delays, and feelings of distance are not obstacles but essential stages of growth. Just as the waiting leads to renewed connection through the korbanot, today our tefillot serve that role. Ultimately, the key to navigating this process is simcha—joy—which reconnects a person to the Infinite Light and becomes the primary tool for overcoming challenges and moving toward redemption. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.For more on this lesson: linktr.ee/breslovtherapy_lesson_24If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The 4(+1) Cups of Joy
The four cups of the Seder correspond not only to the four languages of redemption—Vehotzeiti, Vehitzalti, Vega’alti, Velakachti—but also to four practical pathways to simcha (joy), with a fifth, Veheiveiti, representing a higher joy we await. Rebbe Nachman teaches that true simcha can be activated through simple joy (mili d’shtuta – lighthearted silliness), gratitude (hoda’ah), finding one’s good points (nekudot tovot), and physical expression like singing and dancing, while the highest level is connecting to the future redemption (simchat ha’atid). The Seder is not just a story of redemption, but a structured guide to building lasting simcha in everyday life.If you have been inspired by this class/lecture please share it with your friends. The Going Backward to Go Forward
In Parshat Vayikra, the Torah describes the Korban Omer using the word “Ve’im,” which usually implies something optional, yet here it refers to an חובה, hinting to the inner confusion a person feels in spiritual growth. The Omer, made from barley—animal food—represents the אדם במצב של ירידה, when he feels distant, frustrated, and unsure if he is advancing. Rebbe Nachman teaches that דווקא through setbacks, confusion, and feeling “backwards,” a person becomes a vessel to receive the Infinite Light of Shavuot, the level of Keter. This is why we count “to the Omer” rather than toward Shavuot—because the דרך to true elevation begins from embracing the מקום הנמוך with emunah and persistence. What appears as “if”—uncertainty and doubt—is in truth “when,” a guaranteed process of growth, where every setback is preparing a person for a higher revelation of Hashem’s light. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. From Adam's sin of prematurely partaking of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, the ability to join the opposites of life has been blemished. The Wisdom That Gives Strength to Continue
Nisan is the New Year for Kings, representing the renewal of spiritual kingship through the tzaddikim who embody and reveal God’s sovereignty in every generation. Rebbe Nachman teaches that the month of Nisan carries a spiritual “gravitational pull” that draws people closer to God through these righteous leaders, who guide others into a living experience of the Divine Presence. The construction of the Mishkan demonstrates this principle: although the structure was too heavy for Moshe to erect, God told him to act as if he were lifting it while Hashem completed the task, revealing that God’s dwelling in the world is established through the efforts of the tzaddik together with divine assistance. In the same way, the tzaddikim of every generation help build the spiritual dwelling place of the Shekhinah within the world and within the Jewish people. Reb Noson’s early longing to connect with elder chassidim, despite his family’s opposition, reflects the deep human need for such guidance and inspiration. Torah study alone is not the full goal; the essential element is warmth, feeling, and living connection, transforming Torah from something merely learned into something experienced. Chassidic teachings restore this vitality, showing how authentic Yiddishkeit must combine learning, prayer, and emotional attachment to God, allowing a person not only to know about the Divine Presence but to truly feel and live with it.This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. Fighting 11 With 11
In Parshat Vayakhel-Pekudei, the Torah describes two coverings of the Mishkan—ten inner curtains and eleven outer drapes made from goat hair. The ten represent the essence of holiness and the deepest root of the Jewish soul, corresponding to the ten types of melody that have the power to repair even the most profound spiritual damage. Surrounding them are the eleven drapes, which parallel the eleven spices of the Ketoret that confront impurity and extract holiness trapped within it. This structure reflects how holiness is protected: the outer level, associated with simcha and the power of the Ketoret, guards the deeper holiness within. The Mishkan itself also represents the Tzaddikim who draw souls back to Hashem, while their followers strengthen joy and holiness among the Jewish people so that the deeper rectification will not be needed. Through simcha and holiness, the sparks trapped in impurity are elevated and restored. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. The Destruction is Really a Vessel
Rebbe Nachman teaches that the center of the universe is rooted in the revelation of the Infinite Light that shines into the world through the central point in Jerusalem, specifically the Foundation Stone in the Holy of Holies. Creation unfolded when a ray from the Infinite Light entered the primordial hollow space and struck this center point, from which the entire world expanded outward, similar to how a body develops from the navel or how a plant grows from its central stem. Midrashim describe the world spreading in all directions from this point, portraying the flow of divine nourishment descending like an umbilical cord that sustains all existence. Even after the destruction of the Beit Hamikdash, this spiritual center remains active, and the world continues to receive both chayut—basic life-force—and shefa—abundant blessing—from this source. King Solomon’s extraordinary wisdom in knowing where to plant every fruit and vegetable reflected his deep understanding of how creation is rooted in this central point and how divine sustenance flows through it into the world. Spiritual setbacks and struggles can themselves form vessels that enable a person to receive greater light, illustrated by the teaching that challenges create inner chambers through which the Infinite Light can enter, revealing that even in exile the Jewish people remain connected to the central source of divine vitality through faith, Torah, and the teachings of the true tzaddikim. ✨This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. The Red Heifer at it's root is the uniting of the running and restraining of the intellect - 2 opposites in on unity - unified in Hashem's Unity. The Light of the Crowns
In Parshat Ki Tissa, the Torah describes how the Jewish people lost the two crowns they received at Mount Sinai when they declared Naaseh v’Nishma—“We will do and we will listen.” Reb Noson explains that these crowns correspond to the Keter, the gateway through which a person receives Hashem’s Infinite Light. The Keter works through setbacks that push a person back so his mind can settle and properly receive the light. The sin of the Golden Calf occurred when the Jewish people could not endure the setback of Moshe Rabbeinu’s delay and fell into despair, blemishing both the crown of action (Naaseh) and the crown of desire (Nishma). Afterward, Moshe Rabbeinu moved the Tent of Meeting outside the camp, teaching that when a person loses direct access to the Keter, he must reconnect through the Tzaddikim who carry the light of the crowns. Just as Mordechai in the Purim story was not accepted by everyone despite being the true leader of the generation, those who truly seek Hashem sometimes must step beyond the status quo to find the Tzaddikim who reveal Divine light. Ultimately, these crowns will be restored with the coming of Mashiach, when the Infinite Light will once again shine openly upon Am Yisrael. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. Remembering the 12 Tribes
In Parshat Tetzaveh, the Torah repeats the names of the twelve tribes on both the shoulder stones and the Choshen of the Kohen Gadol, teaching two dimensions of Divine remembrance. The shoulder stones represent the burden of Torah, reward and consequence, and the daily struggle of Am Yisrael to fulfill the mitzvot. The Choshen, engraved with the tribes and the Avot, represents the light of the Tzaddikim and the power of simcha tamid—the ability to remain connected to Hashem whether ascending or descending. Through the Avodah of Yom Kippur and the contrast with Achashverosh’s misuse of the eight garments, we learn that true joy belongs only to Am Yisrael, and that remembering who we are—children of the twelve tribes—defeats Amalek’s voice of despair and activates redemption. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. Drawing From the Center of the Universe
The destruction of the Beit Hamikdash and the story of Purim reveal that true simcha comes from the revelation of the Infinite Light, which cannot be contained in this world and therefore requires a vessel through which it can be experienced. The downfall of the ten sons of Haman in a single moment reflects the unity of this Infinite Light overpowering forces that opposed the rebuilding of the Temple and the joy it represents. Creation itself was formed through a ray of Divine light drawn into an empty space, with Jerusalem as the central point where this light is most revealed, and the Foundation Stone as its channel into the world. Even in exile, this light can be accessed through connection to tzaddikim, whose spiritual power reflects the light of the Beit Hamikdash, which is why their passing is considered comparable to its destruction. Simcha is therefore not merely emotional happiness but attachment to Divine unity, and the Land of Israel—especially Jerusalem—provides unique access to this Infinite Light despite its challenges, fulfilling the teaching of **Rebbe Nachman** that true joy begins by connecting to this spiritual source rather than remaining in mourning or despair. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. Doing Out of Faith vs. Intellect
Parshat Parah - which follows the joyous light of Purim - is the power to nullify the impurity of death, which is the essence of atheistic and skeptic philosophical ideology promoted by those who doubt Hashem's authority always trying to seek to understand everything with no place for emunah. Rather the procedure of the red heifer ashes teaches us to believe and follow Hashem's statues even when we don't understand their meaning. This is evident in the red heifer ashes themselves which render pure the impure and impure the pure etc. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. Hope in Hashem is Renewal
Purim reveals that true renewal and salvation come from hoping in Hashem, combining simcha with deep yearning and trust that those who place their hope in Him will never be put to shame. The Megillah teaches that even in the darkest historical moments, turning back to Hashem awakens repentance and brings hidden miracles, with the night devoted to prayer and self-awakening and the day to joy and celebration. The verse “those who hope in Hashem will renew their strength” explains that spiritual vitality comes not from human power but from reliance on Divine mercy, symbolized by constant renewal like the phoenix. Stories of Holocaust survivors show that hope in Hashem can sustain life even when all strength seems lost. Rebbe Nachman and Reb Noson illuminate this path by teaching that a person must actively turn toward Hashem and take responsibility for change, while the tzaddikim provide light, encouragement, and the power to awaken faith and renewal in every generation. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. Pondering Beyond Limits to Activate the Light
In Parshat Terumah, Moshe Rabbeinu’s difficulty with the menorah, the laws of shkatzim, and the renewal of the moon reveals three dimensions that lie beyond ordinary prophecy. The menorah represents drawing the Infinite Light into a physical vessel, the shkatzim teach that even those who have fallen beneath spiritual “existence” still have hope and halachic structure, and chidush ha’levanah shows that even the first faint step of return is already called Mekudash. Through these three themes, we learn that there is light above us, hope below us, and renewal available at every beginning—accessed through the tzaddikim in every generation who carry the spark of Moshe Rabbeinu. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24. Emunah is the Key to Getting Through LIfe
At this point Rebbe Nachman goes back to the open quote from the Gemara Bekhorot 8a regarding the challenge between Rabbi Yehoshua ben Chananya and the wise men of Athens, focusing on the goal of all these discussions is to reiterate the main difference between someone who believes in Hashem and someone who does not; people who do have emunah can handle life's challenges much easier; the Maharal's interpretation of this challenge and how it relates to Rebbe Nachman's perspective etc. This class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.
