Globalism, One-world Government and Governance: A Urantia Book Perspective
from The Cosmic Citizen · host Paula Thompson
The Urantia Book unequivocally states, "The political sovereignty of representative mankind government will bring lasting peace on earth, and the spiritual brotherhood of man will forever insure good will among all men. And there is no other way whereby peace on earth and good will among men can be realized." (134:6.13) H. Joseph Menton and Cayce Snyder will be our guests in our upcoming program entitled: "Globalism, one-world government and governance: A Urantia Book perspective." Moving into the 21st century, the power of technology to leverage contact between people around the planet is rapidly growing. Consequently, there is rising sentiment towards pursuing one world government as peoples previously separated by ethnic, national and geographic boundaries are increasingly drawn together. We examine these sentiments in context of how the UB approaches issues of proper governance and societal roles and responsibilities and compare these notions with current political movements directed towards world government, including the UN and other trans-national organizations. We have invited several surprise guest callers who are uniquely qualified to speak to these issues in light of current world events. We hope you will tune in for an enlightening and politically supercharged, but civil, discussion!
