Welcome to Episode 23 of the No Conference for Old Men Podcast. After overcoming one-sided officiating and four starters fouling out, Houston beat Texas A&M 100-95 in overtime! The entire roster was needed, and the Cougars received key contributions from some unlikely sources. UH is now 32-4 and headed to the Sweet 16 to face Duke. The Texas A&M win in Memphis would not have happened without key contributions by Ramon Walker (who we all thought was lost for the season) and walk-on Ryan Elvin. It was truly a "survive and advance" game, and now the Cougars will play in Dallas this weekend. So we'll begin this Sweet 16 episode with some thoughts on the 1st two games of the tourney but focusing primarily on the A&M one. Then, we preview the Sweet 16 matchup against Duke while keeping an eye on potential opponents in a possible Elite 8 battle.
