The greatest of these is Love.” When we think of God, it’s kind of hard to fathom having the power to do whatever you want, however you want. With unlimited power, and no one being able to resist your every whim. So, it can be equally as difficult to understand that God purposely and willingly limited Himself to a set of guidelines. He chose self-control and directives that expressed certain characteristic of Himself that He wanted His creation to focus on. In this, God chose LOVE to be the chief expression of who He is. Then, He went about defining the definition of Love. He did this by again setting up limitations and guidelines- “rules” if you will, on how Love presents itself. What Love does and what Love never does. Then He enacted the creation plan to express this Love to His Children.
