In this episode, we examine how God the Holy Spirit speaks to us through His Word. When we open God's Word with honest and careful study, we find that Scripture does not leave us to wonder whether God has communicated with man — it declares plainly that the Spirit has spoken, and that what He has spoken endures. The apostle Paul writes in 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV), "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." This direct word from God's Word reminds us that the Spirit has not been silent — He has spoken expressly, and what He has spoken carries the full weight and authority of God Himself. When we commit ourselves to what the Bible actually says about the Spirit speaking, we find that Scripture is sufficient to guide us through every false teaching and every departure from the faith — anchoring us to the voice of the Spirit who has already said everything we need to hear — strengthening our confidence in God's Word as our reliable and authoritative guide.
