God, What's Next?

Samuel's journey to anoint the next king reminds us that God's calling often begins with clear direction but unfolds one step at a time. Although God told Samuel to go to Bethlehem, He did not immediately reveal who the next king would be. Samuel had to trust God through the process, resist relying on his own assumptions, and patiently wait for God's confirmation. This example teaches that following our calling requires obedience before clarity, a willingness to let go of past disappointments, and confidence that God sees beyond outward appearances to the heart.
