Godly Grit 1 - Overview

from Fractured Resilience · host Richard Hindmarsh, MD

This podcast is the first of many from the book “Godly Grit” which was published in the early Spring of 2021. This first podcast is an overview of the various topics covered in the book. We read in Hebrews 12:1-2, “As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.” Are you running God’s race with passion and determination? Or, are you wearing out during this time of societal upheaval? The wound that pierces us is the multiple strongholds the enemy uses to steal our joy and peace, kill our dreams, and destroy our growth and voice. Over the next several months, I hope to show how the enemy uses these strongholds as an offense. These offenses cause us to become self-centered, and as soon as we become self-focused, we have slipped into the sin that is “so easily fallen into.” We begin to believe that “it is all about me.” If you desire to know God and find your purpose and voice, I invite you on this journey. In this time of human struggle and turmoil, we could all use a lot more Godly grit.
