God's Plan for Healing Loneliness

This week, Peter and Leslie address the "front-page news" concerning the epidemic of loneliness in America. Loneliness produces mental and emotional problems and even physical problems of heart disease, strokes, dementia, and early death! In the early 1980s, Mother Teresa pointed out that every nation and every culture had its poorest of the poor. She said that in  America, this poverty was loneliness! How prophetic she was. Unfortunately, this poverty of loneliness affects not only those in the culture but also those in our Catholic Church. But Peter and Leslie share that there is Good news: the Lord has an antidote to loneliness. In the Church, God has, since the beginning, built into His People a relational structure, small groups, where we can experience fellowship, friendship, community, brotherhood, and sisterhood! This broadcast will cause us to "step back" and look at this 2,000-year-old emphasis on relationships that the Holy Spirit is again bringing to our attention!
