Gonzo/Respect Da Mic/ Studio 13

from Piedmont Artist Profiles

In this episode, I take things in yet another direction. Instead of focusing on just one artist or event, I am trying to be able to do more of a weekly magazine type show, highlighting whatever it is that I ended up doing that week. As this idea grows, I hope to get a few more people on board to act as "correspondents" and maybe even putting out a Tuesday and a Thursday show….That may be a little ambitious, but we shall see. I will still be doing the more in depth sit down type interviews, but those will be more like one every 5-6 weeks or so.   In this episode we talk to the Respect Da Mic poetry slam team as they head out to the Southern Fried Poetry Slam.   I got a chance to go hang out with Gonzo, and only about 15 minutes of it was fit for public consumption.   And last but not least, we here some good tunes from the most recent edition of the open mic at Studio13.  Including tracks from children's songwriter Dave Crowe, local artists Adayla Turner and Rico Nye perform a song,  and Junco Partner take us out with a bang.   Thank you for checking us out, please subscribe…blah, blah blah….One Love!   *Piedmont Artist Profiles is a Concord, North Carolina based podcast that covers local artists and musicians. The artists we feature are from Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Kannapolis, Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Matthews, Salisbury, and the Charlotte Metropolitan Area. Featuring live performances and in depth interviews, we cover everything from painters, poets, and authors, to rock, reggae, and punk. We also talk to open mic performers and local singer songwriters. We can be found on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, and wherever you download your podcasts.
