Sends us a comment or question!During the holiday’s I decided the most reasonable film to introduce to Bob is a live action adaptation of a beloved children’s story. While the children’s story itself is beloved, Ron Howard’s (Willow, Apollo 13, Da Vinci Code) 2000’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is a nausea inducing, endlessly quotable, fever dream of a film. Why you ask? Because the same guy that produced The Da Vinci Code, Kindergarten Cop, Apollo 13, two Nutty Professor Films, and Liar Liar decided that both this (and more specifically it’s 60’s animated tv special) and Dr.Seuss’ arguably second most iconic book “The Cat in the Hat” needed to introduce the world to brain rot.The screen play was written by a writing duo Jeffrey L Price & Peter S Seaman (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Wild Wild West), with unhinged cinematography from Don Peterman (When a Stranger Calls, Flashdance, Star Trek 4, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Addams Family Values, Men in Black, Mighty Joe Young) with editing by long time Ron Howard collaborators Dan Hanley and Mike Hill (All of Ron Howards films through 2016) and music by one of my favorite composers, James Horner (Aliens, Field of Dreams, Apollo 13, Casper, Jumanji, The Amazing Spider-Man)While the film features a large ensemble of Whos in Whoville the main cast consists of Jim Carrey buried in Rick Baker’s and Gail Rowell-Ryan’s Oscar winning completely practical Grinch suit and makeup. Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who, Christine Baranski as Martha May Whovier, Bill Irwin as Postmaster Lou Lou Who, Molly Shannon as Betty Lou Who, Clint Howard as Whobris (the mayor’s assistant), and literal POS Jeffrey Tambor (whose misconduct came to light in 2017) as Mayor Augustus MayWho.Featuring: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart
