Good Time Watching "Fallout" Season 2 | 137

Sends us a comment or question!Amazon’s hit video game adaptation, Fallout, took players and viewers back to the Mojave Wasteland for it’s second season, not seen since 2010’s Fallout New Vegas. With returning showrunners Greg Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet continuing the story of the games, Fallout New Vegas fans like myself were treated to a number of slightly different but still awe inspiring recreations of some of New Vegas’ most iconic locations and characters, and examining the world after Courier 6’s escapades. Join us and our Friends Bunny and Sean as we break down what we loved about this season.Recurring Co-Host:Sean / @Purple_Mando / @Coffee_Powered_MediaBunny / @Bunnybea6Featuring: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart

Good Time Watching " Arsenic and Old Lace" | 136

Sends us a comment or question!Frank Capra brings to life Joseph Kesselring’s 1941 stage farce Arsenic and Old Lace. Written in the late 30’s , the film follows the Brewster family, descendants of the Mayflower “settlers”. To some like scholar Matthew C. Gunter the film acts as a commentary on the formation of the United States and the stark contrast between America’s freedom and the violent colonization of the country. The film is produced by Capra and former Warner Bros. President Jack L. Warner, with screenplay adaptation written by Julius J. and Philip G. Epstein. The film’s Cinematographer is Sol Polito, edited by Daniel Mandell, and music by Max Steiner. The film stars Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane, Raymond Massey, Josephine Hull, Jean Adair, John Alexander, Jack Carson and Peter Lorre.Recurring Co-Host: Sean / @Purple_Mando / @Coffee_Powered_MediaFeaturing: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart

Good Time Watching "The Wild Robot" | 135

Sends us a comment or question! This week we had a good time watching Chris Sanders' (Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods) adaptation of Peter Brown’s 2016 New York Times Best Seller “The Wild Robot” to the big screen in spectacular fashion. Exploring the intersection of technology and nature, the beautifully and painterly animated feature follows Roz, a lost delivery of Rozzum support robots. It’s a beautiful reflection of motherhood, the impacts of climate change, and coming of age with almost TOO much heart. The film is produced by Jeff Hermann, Cinematography from Chris Stover, Edited by Mary Blee, Music by Kris Bowers, and was the final film animated in house at DreamWorks with Additional character rigging from Stim Studio. The movie stars Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Stephine Hsu, Mark Hamill, Matty Berry, Ving Rhames, and Randy Thom.Featuring: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart

Good Time Watching "KPop Demon Hunters" | 134

Sends us a comment or question!Over the holidays we finally caught up on some Netflix movies and there was only one that was recommended so repeatedly by our friends. We knew they were probably right, but hot damn were they RIGHT. Sony Pictures Animation’s "KPop Demon Hunters" is an instant classic that has all of the best hallmarks of an original animated film. Directed and Written by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans the film was co-written by Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan. The movie was animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks under the direction of Josh Beveridge. This movie is a flashy full blown KPop Musical with original songs written by Danny Chung, Ido, Vince, Kush, Ejae, Jenna Andrews, Stephen Kirk, Lindgren, Mark Sonnenblick, and Daniel Rojas.Produced by Michelle Wong. Cinematography by Gary H. Lee. Edited by Nathan Schauf. Score by Marcelo ZarvosHalf KPop/half demon hunter Girl band, Huntrix consists of Rumi (Voiced by Arden Cho, Singing by Ejae) the lead vocalist and nepo-baby. Mira (voiced by May Hong, singing by Audrey Nuna) as the main dancer and rebellious black sheep of her wealthy family. and Zoey (Voiced by Ji-Young Yoo, singing by Rei Ami) the groups rapper and lyricist and is the youngest member of the group who was torn between where she was raised in Burbank, California family’s homeland.Opposing Huntrix the half KPop/all demon boy band is the Saja Boys. Good Time Watching "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" | 133

Sends us a comment or question!During the holiday’s I decided the most reasonable film to introduce to Bob is a live action adaptation of a beloved children’s story. While the children’s story itself is beloved, Ron Howard’s (Willow, Apollo 13, Da Vinci Code) 2000’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is a nausea inducing, endlessly quotable, fever dream of a film. Why you ask? Because the same guy that produced The Da Vinci Code, Kindergarten Cop, Apollo 13, two Nutty Professor Films, and Liar Liar decided that both this (and more specifically it’s 60’s animated tv special) and Dr.Seuss’ arguably second most iconic book “The Cat in the Hat” needed to introduce the world to brain rot.The screen play was written by a writing duo Jeffrey L Price & Peter S Seaman (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Wild Wild West), with unhinged cinematography from Don Peterman (When a Stranger Calls, Flashdance, Star Trek 4, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, Addams Family Values, Men in Black, Mighty Joe Young) with editing by long time Ron Howard collaborators Dan Hanley and Mike Hill (All of Ron Howards films through 2016) and music by one of my favorite composers, James Horner (Aliens, Field of Dreams, Apollo 13, Casper, Jumanji, The Amazing Spider-Man)While the film features a large ensemble of Whos in Whoville the main cast consists of Jim Carrey buried in Rick Baker’s and Gail Rowell-Ryan’s Oscar winning completely practical Grinch suit and makeup. Taylor Momsen as Cindy Lou Who, Christine Baranski as Martha May Whovier, Bill Irwin as Postmaster Lou Lou Who, Molly Shannon as Betty Lou Who, Clint Howard as Whobris (the mayor’s assistant), and literal POS Jeffrey Tambor (whose misconduct came to light in 2017) as Mayor Augustus MayWho.Featuring: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart

Good Time Watching "Frankenstein" | 132

Sends us a comment or question!Spoilers ahead for "Frankenstien" is Guillermo del Toro’s latest and frankly stunning adaptation after his 2022 stop motion “Pinocchio”. Based on Mary Shelley’s 1818 “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus” told in 3 parts. The prelude introducing us to current day 1857 as a Royal Danish Navy ship is trapped in the ice as the monster attacks, Young Victor’s tragic upbringing from the moment his mother dies in child birth through the explosion of the tower, and the creature’s tale picking up from his narrow escape from the exploding castle, the finding of a friend, and his confrontation with his creator in the arctic. The film is produced by del Toro, J. Miles Dale (The Shape of Water, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle), and Scott Stuber (2010’s Wolfman, Ted, Ted 2).The Cast consists of Oscar Isaac as Dr. Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi as the Monster, Mia Goth pulling double duty as both soon to be sister-in-lay Lady Elizabeth Harlander and Baroness Claire Frankenstein. Felix Kammerer as younger brother William, David Bradley as the Blind Man, Lars Mikkelsen as Danish Captain Anderson, Charles Dance as victor’s father, Baron Leopold Frankenstein, and Christoph waltz as Henrich Harlander.Cinematography by Dan Laustsen (Silent Hill, Crimson Peak, John Wick (2,3,4)) Edited by Evan Schiff and Music by Alexandre Desplat (The Golden Compass, Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fantastic Mr Fox, Pinocchio)Recurring Co-Host: Sean / @Purple_Mando / @Coffee_Powered_MediaFeaturing: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart

Organizing Our Thoughts: Home Organization Wants and Entitled Gamers | 128

Sends us a comment or question! The two most common never ending battles: home organization and entitled and out of touch gamers. With Bob's new job, our home may actually start looking like nearly thirty year old's live here. On the other hand gamers, which Jon arguably is one, are the worst, but in some incredibly nebulous ways. While we're shooting for more weeks on than off, this is our little escape project. Good Time Watching "The Congress" | 125

Sends us a comment or question! This week kicks off our exploration of films produced by NON-AMPTP studios to support the striking writers and actors who bring to life the stories we love watching. There is no better candidate to start with than 2013's “The Congress”.  The mixed medium film directed by Ari Folman stars Robin Wright in a world where movie studios have started scanning actors to continue “creating” movies without the actors. 20 years pass and contract negotiations require her attendance of the futurological Congress, presented in the film as an acid trip soaked tribute to the animation styles of the 20s and 30s.It's an odd film that predicted some of the largest changes to both the industry as well as technology in general.  It's clear that studios are already attempting to achieve a similar process via scanning background actors and the way that virtual reality has become more of a social platform.Featuring: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart

Sends us a comment or question!"Nobody gets through this life unscathed. Not you, not me, Mr. Shaky Hands. But then you’re left with a choice. Are you going to let your grief drown you, or are or are you going to face it and come through the other side?"Apple TV's “Shrinking” is a beautiful exploration of grief and the family you choose. It is also one of the best written and well-performed shows of the year and the creatives both behind the scenes and on the screen deserve fair compensation, residuals that reflect the streaming landscape and protections from studios stealing their work and likeness. In solidarity with both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA's strikes, this will be the last episode covering a project produced by the AMPTP.If you have any comments or feedback about the new format feel free to Contact UsFeaturing: Bob Rudenborg, Jon MarekEditing: Jon MarekTheme: Brian Adams-Find Us Across the Web: https://www.thebutchandthebi.com/Follow Jon on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/jonklobsterSign Up for Bob's Patreon: https://patreon.com/asmallfrogart
