Government Strengthens Inclusion and Support for Persons with Disabilities

The Government of Saint Lucia is advancing efforts to improve inclusion and the quality of life of persons with disabilities. Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre highlighted the challenges faced by persons with hearing difficulties, including discrimination and barriers when interacting with law enforcement. Government is also emphasizing the importance of early identification of disabilities and ensuring that persons with disabilities receive the support and opportunities needed to participate fully in society.
