I'm Pastor Donne Jester, so glad that you continue today. And we're here to minister to you, to tell you what can be right when you already know what's wrong with you. You'll see that on the screen as well. We're gonna pick up kind of where we left off last week in Romans chapter eight, verse one. I want you to look at this with me. Romans chapter eight, verse one.
Paul said, there is therefore now, everybody say now, no condemnation to them, which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Now, first of all, I want to bring this up, in case you didn't watch last week, I want to bring this up. This whole two scriptures that I just read to you, hinges on chapter seven, the Apostle Paul was dealing with this.
He said the things that I don't want to do, I end up doing. He said, when I try to do good, evil is present, evil is dominating. Some of you that are watching me right now feel, just like you've been there. You know, I'm reading your mail.
You feel like, you know, I've tried to serve God. I've tried to do this. And it seems like every time I start out, I get knocked down. Somebody says something, somebody does something.
That's exactly what the devil wants. He wants to send somebody by to discourage you, but you can't look at that person. You got to understand that there's a devil behind that. Now, the people that they don't know, they're just being used.
They're not devil possessed. They just open their mouth and the devil speaks to them. You got to understand when Peter said, you know, to Jesus you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God. An hour later, he comes back and the devil speaking to him.
So you have to understand, you're fighting is not with people. You have to understand the spiritual connotation behind it. But so all of this being said, the Apostle Paul is saying, you know, if you've tried to do right, and it seems like you've messed up so much, maybe some of you that are watching me feel like you've messed up too much, and you're out of the game. This three strikes in your out business is not God's business.
I don't care how many times you've failed God. He's telling you, you've still got some in you. Your race is not over with. You want to finish good.
Doesn't matter how many times you've fallen. Doesn't matter how many times that you've slipped up. The Apostle Paul said, look, I can understand when you try to do good, evil spreads. And I can understand that the things that you said you'd never do, you ended up doing, you may be in a repetitive sin.
And then you come back here and you hear the word, even though you've slipped and stumbled, you desired. What's the separate things you desire when you pray, believe that you received. And you'll have them, you desire to be forgiven. You desire to serve God again.
You thought it was all over for you. You thought, well, how could God ever forgive me? Well, you're not God. You don't live in that realm.
And you've got to learn to live in God's room. You've got to learn to allow your faith to speak for you. God says you were forgiven. God says that he loves you with everlasting love.
God says that you can do all things through him. But here's the deal. You've got to come out of that spiritual law. And this is what it is because people says, well, nothing ever good works for me.
It's just never going to happen for me. It seems like I try to be right and end up just making a mess of things. I'm just no good to God. Shut up there.
Please shut up. No, you are good to God. I didn't mean to tell you to shut up. I mean, just hush it.
Shush. God loves you. Quit beating yourself up. No condemnation is to those that are in Christ Jesus.
If you walked after the flesh, if you've been over in the sense realm, which is hindered knowledge, if you've been over into that realm, get over into God's realm. His realm is a spiritual realm. You'll whip the devil every time. He said this in verse two, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus had made me free from the law of sin and death.
See these laws operate by words. You turn these laws on. If you keep turning on the law of sin and death, even though the law of which is a spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from that, you've got to turn this other law off because it's still working. You ever tried to record something?
I know the guys at the TV station is you try to record something and there's some bleed over. You know, you're still here. You got them what you recorded, but then you hear, oh my goodness, I'm going to clean that track up. Clean the track up.
Stop the bleed over. Stop the devil's mouth. What you've got to understand is that you've been forgiven. God loves you.
God wants you. You're valuable to him. You're a creation of God. He created you with a purpose and a passion.
Now why, why have to dust off your pants and get back in the race? Remember this in Isaiah chapter 46 or 43, I should say verse 25. And Isaiah 43 and 25, he said, I even I, he that bought it out by transgressions and I will not remember your sins anymore for my sake. Now God can remember everything that we ever did, but he chooses to not remember them just like you know that when your kids messed up, you want to think of the good things.
You don't want to think of the bad things that you don't want to remember the bad stuff that they got into. You know, I'll tell you this, if my mother caught me smoking or doing whatever behind her back, I felt so shameful because I was found out as a kid, as a teenager. But you know something I knew when mother caught me, I knew that she'd forgive me. You know why?
Because she loved me. You see, God is telling you here, I forgive you. I love you. I don't condemn you.
You need to learn how to activate the spiritual law. I have been, you need to say to yourself, I have been operating, the preacher's hit me right on the nail. I've been operating in this law of sin and death. Nothing ever worked for me.
Everything I do, you know, I'm hindered because I feel defeated. I feel discouraged. I feel like nobody loves me. Get out of that realm.
You are loved by God. And you have to know that for this law to kick in, you've got to shut the other law off. For the law of the spirit of life, which is in Christ Jesus, has made you free from the law of sin and death. You've got to know that God blots out your transgressions.
You've got to know that God doesn't hold anything against you. You've got to know that you've been forgiven even before you mess up. Let me say that again so the devil here. You've been forgiven by God even before you mess up.
That's what grace is. Grace is though you've sinned, it's as though you've never sinned. That's what unmerited favor is. You didn't deserve it.
I didn't deserve it. God doesn't remember the things that I did. He loves me. And I know He loves me.
And He loves you. All you need to do is not flustrate the grace of God. Quit beating yourself up. Quit slapping God in the face when you sound no good.
You are a creation of God. You have to understand that the blood of Jesus was shed on purpose. It wasn't spilled by accident. It was shed on purpose just for you.
So that whatever sin you've committed, the blood would cleanse it. Now I want you to hear me right now. I'm talking to you. I'm being serious with you.
God had me to come at this particular time. He knew that you would turn this program on. Now it's time to put all the past behind you. It's time to let your faith speak for you and say, God said, I'm an overcomer.
I'm an overcomer. If God says I'm victorious, I'm victorious right now. Say yes to Jesus. Say, I'm getting back in the race.
I'm not letting anybody hold me back anymore. God, I'm going to serve you for the rest of my life. I'm your man. I'm your woman.
God bless you. Take that and give it to the devil because God loves you and he wants you for his own. He sent his very best. He didn't spare anything.
He gave Jesus for you. The least you and I can do is tell the devil, the devil is a liar and God, I'll serve you for the rest of my life. So those of you that are watching me right now, you know this is for you. God had it for you right now, even though it's pre-recorded.
