Hello everyone, I'm Pastor Donnie Jester, Grace Redemption Church. I am so glad that you could tune in with us today. We're here talking about the Believer's Authority. We're doing a series.

And if you were with us last week, follow along, if you have your Bible, we're gonna be teaching how the same text, Mark's Gospel, Chapter 13, Verse 34. Again, that's Mark's Gospel, Chapter 13, Verse 34. While you're turning there, just wanna remind you that you see on the screen, we're looking for people to be partners. You know, I've had enough members in the church.

Sometimes members, you know, don't pan out so good. I don't need somebody just to put their name on the row. We need partners that stand with us in prayer and support as well. And again, if you wanna text an offering to this ministry, it's safe, it's secure, and all you gotta do is look at the number, text that number that you see on the screen.

God bless you. Let's go right into the Word today. Mark's Gospel, Chapter 13, Verse 34. Jesus said, for the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey who left his house and gave authority to his servants.

And to every man, his work, and commanded the Porter to watch. Wow. As we talked about in the programs before, we understand that the Lord has left the scene from this earth. And he has given an assignment to the believer, authority to the believer.

I wanna share with you how powerful it is when you and I understand delegated authority. You see, everything that God has done, he did with a license, with a permit. He did not come into this earth illegally. He came into this earth born of a virgin.

Walk 33 and a half years without sin. And what you have to understand rose from the dead after he was crucified three days and gave the great commission to the believers and went on back up into heaven. So the Bible said, it's like a man taking a far journey. He'll be back.

I'm gonna tell you, he'll be back. And he gives authority to his servants. That's us, that you and I. And so when we see this, we understand that the Lord will come back, but we have an assignment.

We have a task to do. We have been given the privilege to use his name. And when we use the name and invoke the name of Jesus, we give God a permit, a license if you please, to operate into this realm. Because we are the body of Christ, he is the head.

You can't do nothing. The head can't do anything without the body. So the Lord needs us and we need him. We can't do anything without him.

So as we look at the word, we talk about delegated authority, power. We understand in Matthew chapter 16, Jesus, you know, was talking to his disciples. He said, who do you say the Son of Man is? They said, well, you know, some say that you are, he lies, or Jeremiah won the prophets, or John the Baptist race of dead.

He looks to Peter, he said, who do you say the Lamb? He said, the Son of the living God. And he said, blessed Simon Bar-John, he said, flesh and blood has not revealed this to thee, but my Father, which is in heaven. Now that's what you have to understand.

He said, up on this rock, verse 18, I believe it is. He said, up on this rock, excuse me. He said, I will build my church. He said, thou art the rock.

He was talking about Peter being a petros, a fragment of the rock. And then he goes on and say, up on this rock, which is petra, unshakable, unlovable rock. He said, up on this profession of your faith and revelation of who I am, Coltratechuck. He said, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail.

That doesn't mean that we're just holding the fort down and not letting devils get in. That means that we're pursuing and pulling treasures out of darkness. You see, God has been speaking to me about calling different people that hadn't been in church to talk to them. Because maybe they're in darkness, but they're treasures.

See, our job as a believer is to take authority over the powers of darkness. Because he goes on to say, in Matthew chapter 16, verse 19, he says, and to you Peter, I give the keys of the kingdom. And whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth, Lothrica, shall be loosed in heaven. So in other words, we have the authority to bind Prince of powers and powers.

So you can take authority because you have to understand, you don't wrestle against flesh and blood. I mean, you think about the person that you're working with and the relationship that you have with them, and maybe it's not so good. And maybe they just rub you wrong. It's like holy sandpaper, baby, they'll just rub and all the rough edges off of you.

And they're in your grill all the time. Well, there's a spirit behind that. Your fight is not with people. It's like normal, hey, you said one time.

He said, be sweet to people and mean to devils. So you need to bind the devil, take authority, because all of heaven is backing you up. When you take authority and say, I bind in the name of Jesus, I bind that spirit that's operating in that person that I'm working with. You can do that right under your breath.

You're working with that person. You're affiliated with that person. And you know, you can take authority and break the power of the devil over their lives. If you need to see a loved one, say, pick you out one of the black sheep of the family, use the name of Jesus, not because I said so, because you see it in the word that you have authority and begin to say it.

In the name of Jesus, I take authority right now, and I break the power of the devil that's over my kids, over my loved ones, and I claim their salvation in the name of the Lord, and just close the book and start thanking the Lord for their deliveries, because it's good as done when you use your authority. So it's important to know, we talked about the three keys, the last two programs that we're looking at that operates the authority of the believer. Number one is redemption. You've got to know that you have been redeemed from the powers of darkness.

You have been translated from the kingdom of the devil to the kingdom of his near son. You've got to know that you've changed, you've changed from death under life, from hell under heaven, from sin and the salvation. You have got to know that you have been translated by the power of Almighty God. And so you've been redeemed from the curse of the law, from the powers of darkness.

It's time that you take authority, and then not only redemption, but righteousness, knowing that you have right standing with God. You know the Bible said that God would forgive us of our sins, and he would not remember our sins for his sake. Isn't that awesome to know? Because you know when your kids mess up as they're growing up and you don't want to be reminded of all the bad things they got into, you want to think about the good thing.

Well that's the way the God, the Father is. He don't want to think of be reminded of all the stuff and junk we got into. He doesn't even remember that. That's been washed away by the blood of Jesus.

So you have right standing with God through the blood of Jesus. So every time the devil brings up and makes those false suggestions, come to your mind and begins to tell you, you can't preach, you can't do this with this. Look at all what you've done. All of people, you just what you did last week, just tell the devil to nip it in the bud.

Shut up in Jesus name, because you have authority, because you have right standing with God through the blood of Jesus Christ. I have been made righteous because he that you know sin was made sin, that I might become the righteousness of God. When I understand that I have been redeemed and I've been made righteous, and then I can resist the devil glory to God, which we're going to get on the next program. I can resist him and I promise you, the devil doesn't have any authority to stand on it.

See, the thing about it is, the devil doesn't want you to find out you have authority, delegated authority, power over him. He doesn't want you to know that. So it's time you get out of your shell. Don't think the devil's going to leave you alone.

He won't, but you can take it to him. And you say, the gates of hell should not prevail. What you got to do, first step, if you don't know Jesus Christ, you got to come out from the dominion of the devil. And you got to say, Jesus, I make you Lord today.

I accept you. I come into the family of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. And I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Right now, I believe I'm saved.

Come join us next week. Tell your friends, tell somebody, write us, let us know. God bless you. We'll see you next week.
