Hello everybody, I'm Pastor Donny Jester, great rejection church. I'm so glad that you can do it with me today. We've been talking about the Rapture of the Church, the coming of the Lord. And in this teaching, hopefully we're going to get into the Rapture of the Church, the Great Tribulation Period, and let you know what to expect and what to believe.
So if you have your Bible, we're gonna start off at 1 Thessalonians, I'll get it out here in a minute, in chapter four, and we're gonna look at verse 15. That's where we left off last week. Everybody ready? In 1 Thessalonians chapter four, verse 15.
And remember, as you're finding this scripture, remember if you'd like to become a partner with this ministry, all you gotta do is look at the address on the screen, if you'd like to sow seed into this ministry, I believe it to be good ground. You can see that as well. So 1 Thessalonians chapter four, verse 15. So Paul said, for this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain under the coming of the Lord shall not prevent or proceed, then which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with a voice of the archangel and with the Trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Verse 17, then we which are alive remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Verse 18 says, we're for comfort one another with these words. I talked to you last week, if you remember, if some of you are taking notes or following this program, I think it's important for us to know the word of God.
Because when I hear different people that I've talked to that believe they were in Revelation chapter 12, no. The spirit of Revelation chapter 12 is that when the Antichrist will be altogether with the false prophet and the devil himself will be down here and walk in this earth and the flesh. He'll be in person, I should say. And he is the accuser of the brothers.
So we know that that spirit, the accuser of the brothers is always there. He has access, the devil has access into the presence of God to be able to accuse the brother and day in that. And that's exactly what happens. But you need to know that there are two comings.
You need to know that Jesus will come back for his church and he could come at any moment. And then at the end of seven year tribulation period he'll come back with his church. So we pick up at verse 15. He says here, he said again, he's saying I'm telling you that by the word of the Lord, we which are alive and remain under the coming of the Lord, she'll not prevent them which are asleep.
In other words, we can't go until the dead in Christ, get up. Now I want to say this to you. There's a thousand years difference right at between the resurrection of the righteous and the resurrection of the wicked. You keep that in mind.
So in other words, people ask the question a lot of times, well what if my loved one was cremated? What if they were blown up by some disaster? Let me help you here. The Bible said in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verse 38, the Bible said Paul said that to every seed is given its own body.
In other words, he's talking about a glorified body. You see this body as we know it, we'll go back to dust where their person is cremated or a person is, you know, had something tragic happen or just go by the way of the great. But the Bible says we're going to get a new body. In other words, when the Trump of God sounds, the dead in Christ will rise first.
My mother that was buried in Prescott, Arkansas, 700 miles from here, her spirit and her soul will reunite with her body and the grave were bushed open, glory to God. I've always thought about the old wine. I was sitting by a tombstone there, drinking mad dog 2020 and all of a sudden the ground begins and shaking the trump of God sounds and the dead in Christ and the graves burst open and there he is. You say, how could that happen?
Well, Jesus said it happened. Matthew chapter 27, I think it is verse 52. The Bible said that the graves of many that were slept, the righteous slept. The Bible said many of the graves came open and the saints of God that were buried there walked into the city and appeared to many.
He said, we just buried you last week and here you are, glory to God. Hallelujah, I'll be back. Praise the Lord. So he's saying here that we'll have a glorified body and he said, we what your life and remains, she'll be caught up, those two words caught up in the Greek is the word harpazo.
It means a snatching away, a catching away, knowing that great, a great ecstasy, a great joy is going to happen because the dead in Christ are going to rise and we're going to all be caught up together, lose gravitation and that awesome. And then he goes on to say, comfort one another with these words. Now, people that try to pull you through the tribulation period, there's no comfort in that. How you're going to comfort somebody telling them they're going to have to go through where demons are loose down the pit and meteorites are falling from the skies with the biggest truck tires and, you know, all of the wrath of God that's coming, being poured out upon this world.
See, the wrath of God is not being poured out upon this world right now. You understand, we're in the dispensation of grace. What we're fighting is demon princes that's trying to rule the country and trying to tear us apart at the seams. The Bible said that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against prince of power, and against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in all heavenly places.
That's what you have to understand. That's what you're fighting today. It's beyond human reasoning. It's demonic.
The devil hates you. He hates me. He hates this world. God bless the United States of America.
And we must stand together and unite and love one another. This is not the America that we were brought up in. We need to be kind and tender-hearted one another, caring about one another. And I know you agree to that.
But let's let's me know that there are labor pains, that there's travail that's going in the world. I understand that the time of the coming of the Lord is so near. So I want you to be educated on this. And if you're watching this program, and you happen to be left behind, and you don't go in the rapture because you wouldn't give your heart to Jesus, at least you have some information and know where you're at.
And it's so wonderful to know that the greatest outpouring of the Spirit of God is going to be in the tribulation period. And you have to know that people to be saved because the Holy Spirit in John chapter 14 verse 16 will abide with us forever. You can't be saved without the Holy Spirit. We have a lot of people saved in the tribulation period.
But why don't you go through hell on earth? Why don't you just go out with us on the first slope? We got to live looking and longing for His coming, because He could come at any moment. So the Bible says for us to comfort one another with these words, comfort one another, knowing that Jesus could come at any moment.
Oh, I get excited about it. Praise the Lord. You said we won't get to ride your heart anymore. I don't care about that.
If we can see Him and Him deliver us, praise the Lord. But I'm not just looking for a hold in the sky. I understand that I have to occupy till He comes. I need to tell people of the good news of Jesus Christ.
That He loves you. He's not mad at you. He'll forgive you from any sin because He paid the price for all of your sin. His shed blood removes every sin's name.
And you have to know that God wants you to be free. He wants you to know that He loves you. He's prepared a place for you. But we need to occupy and tell others and others.
This world can't continue to go through what it's going through. So right now, would you just, where you at and say, Jesus, I believe what this preacher's saying. I make you Lord today. I accept you as my Lord and Savior.
I turn my back on sin, the devil, and the wrong kind of friends. And I turn my face to you. Come into my heart today. I accept you.
If you did that, you need to tell somebody. You need to go tell. You don't have the phone right now. So hey, guess what?
I just was watching this little preacher on TV. And I got saved. Glory to God. Do that.
