Hello everyone, I'm Pastor Donny Jester. I'm so glad that you're continuing with us today. We've been talking about the Rapture of the Church, which I believe is a great, greatest advantage about to take place right on God's time schedule. It's an appointed time.
We don't know when, but God does. So if you get your Bibles and study along with me in the first Corinthians chapter 15, we're going to first Corinthians chapter 15. And while you go to the scripture, I wanna let you know if you'd like to become a partner with us, you can see the address on the screen. First Corinthians chapter 15, verse 51. Paul said, behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed in the moment in the twi-clin of an eye and at the last trump. For the trump shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought about to pass the saying that is written death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is I sting? O grave, where is that victory?
Now I want you to see this. We talked a program or two prior to this that when the rapture of the church takes place, there's gonna be a traumatic change. We talked about the glory of five body. We talked about in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, verse 38, to every seed is given its own body.
In other words, we should look like we did, before the resurrection. And keep this in mind, we're the church. I'm talking to some of you that's the church, that's the ecclesia, that's the called out body of Christ. But if you're watching me and you've not accepted Jesus Christ, this is a good program to listen and learn, to know that what I'm telling you is gonna come to pass this year as I'm talking to you on this broadcast.
When he talks about Paul said, I show you a mystery, it's a mystery. We shall not all sleep. In other words, we shall not all die. So what he's referring to, in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 16, that the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with the shout, when the voice of the archangel, and the trump of God, and the dead and crash shall rise first.
And then verse 17, we which are lab remains shall be caught up. There's that word, rapture, harpazo in the Greek, the right from the old English word, where we get rapture, caught up to meet the clouds, to meet the Lord and Aaron, so shall we ever be with the Lord. So we understand that when this trump of God sounds, the dead and Christ is gonna rise first. Everybody, come on, somebody say everybody, everybody's gonna get a new body.
I hope it's with Lesse Rinkos, and as I said in times past, it's hope I got more hair, amen, praise the Lord. Lord, give me the hair of Absalom, I don't want the spirit of Absalom, but I'd like to have his hair. Anyway, when this happens, we're gonna have a glorified body, one like Jesus. We'll be able to just think it and be there, travel faster than the speed of light, be able to appear and disappear, call it the God.
What about that? Superman will have anything on you. And so when we see this, Paul said, I show you a mystery, we shall not all die, but we shall be changed in the moment, in the twinkling of an eye. You know, a lot of people have the concept of just saying, okay, when the rapture takes place, people are gonna be disappearing everywhere.
According to what I see in the Bible, the accounts of the Bible, every rapture that's spoken of in the Bible, people seen, they've seen Jesus. When he was taken by a cloud out of their sight and he began to lose gravitation, go up, they watched him go away. The angels that were standing there said, you men of Galilee, why are you standing here gazing? The same Jesus said, you see, taking away will come again in like manner.
So we know that the rapture of the church has to be like that, because when he said you shall be changed in the moment, the twinkling of an eye, corruption shall put on incorruption. That means that the body that was disintegrated, hallelujah, is coming back together into a glorified state. It means that the spirit, a human spirit, and the soul that goes to heaven. See, the thing of it is we're not asleep, you're loved ones that are in heaven right now have a spirit body.
They're walking around in heaven, glory to God. But they're gonna come back and get a glorified body. The spirit and the soul will reunite with the body. That's an exciting time.
And those that are live like us, if we're alive, when the Trump of God sound, and I believe this is a generation you could see the coming of the Lord, then the Bible said that we're gonna be changed from mortality to immortality. And those that the Bible said that have slept, are those bodies that were sleep, shall Christ bring with him. See, when the person dies, their soul doesn't sleep, we don't teach soul sleep. We teach the bodies to sleep.
The praise God there was gonna be a great reunion. So when you see this word here, when you see Paul is saying, corruption will put on incorruption, mortality will put on immortality. I said to you sometime ago, when it bears repeating, that a person that dies as a Christian simply leaves their body. There's no more dying.
They're alive forever. And a person that is leaving this world and don't know Jesus, they're alive forever. So you've gotta figure out what subdivision you wanna be in. You wanna be in heaven, you wanna be in hell.
The only way that you can get to heaven, the only way that you can be qualified for the rapture is that you must be born again. The Bible said that Jesus said, except you be born to the water and of the Spirit you cannot see the kingdom of God. So you have to know that we're born again by the word of God. First Peter chapter one verse 23 says that we're born by the word of God.
And then being born again means I take on a new nature. It means that I'm ready then for heaven. Now you may have been backslidden and you may think, well, I'm not even worthy. Well, none of us are worthy, but the blood of Jesus makes us worthy.
It's one of the Bible said in the second Corinthians chapter five verse 21, he that knew no sin was made sin or made a sin offering, that we might become the righteousness of God in him. What I'm saying to you, many of you that are watching me right now, the devil has tripped up. You're not in the word, you're not praying because you've fallen into some kind of, well, I don't say you've fallen, you just by your own will went into some kind of sin and the devil's got you trapped and you're in bondage. But you see God don't wanna leave you there.
I'm telling you, all you do is repent and say, Jesus, I'm sorry for my sin. Don't you know that people that are true Christians hate their sin, hate when they slip and stumble? And if you know Jesus Christ as you're learning Savior and you're in a backslidden state, come out of that. Now's the time to tell everybody he's coming again.
We need to be shouting that and say, Jesus is coming, yes, our country's in a mess. Yes, this world is a world right now of chaos, but Jesus Christ, Hallelujah, can make our crooked places straight. We have to understand that Jesus could come in any moment. We gotta be ready, living and looking for his coming.
And the blessing of the Lord Jesus Christ, that's why the Bible said in Titus that we need to be sober and righteous and living in this world and not living on God anymore, but living sober and righteous before God, knowing that he could come in a moment. Are you ready to meet him? If you don't know Jesus Christ, or if you have and you've fallen away, I want you to know something. The love of God is right here ready for you.
All you've got to do is have faith to believe what this preacher's saying. Right now, pray with me. Said, dear God, I've walked away from you, but I'm coming back. And I know that you will forgive me.
If you'll do that, he is so willing, waiting to forgive you and just say, Lord, take me with all of my inconsistency, with all my hang ups. I make you Lord today. I'll start walking the way you want me to walk. Jesus, come into my heart today.
I turn my back on Satan. I turn my back on sin in the wrong kind of friends and I accept you today. If you've done that, you're a new creature. You need to tell somebody right now.
I just accepted the Lord. We'll look for you next week. God bless you. God bless you.
