GRACEFUL FAMILIAL DEVOTIONS: Rev. Dr. Funso Omowo (MAY 19, 2024)

It requires hard work to gracefully grow together devotedly at home since all marital relationships pass through trying periods to varying degrees. (Hosea 2:19-20; Romans 15:1-2; Genesis 16:1-4; 18:1-2, cf. 11:28) Such trying periods are best managed or overcome with sacrificial love, which is the acid test of the love relationships between an individual and God, as well as among family members. (Genesis 22:2-3; 17:1-2) Sacrificial love is the only thing that works for the people of the Kingdom when everything else has failed to work well. (1 John 4:10) In this message, we shall look into the issues involved in sacrificial love among family members; an ingredient that is vital to pleasing God, and gracefully growing together devotedly at home. (2 Peter 3:18)
