Gratitude, Blessings, and the Coming Kingdom: Deuteronomy 26–28 and Luke 17 (Day 106)

What does it look like to live a life of "covenant gratitude"? Today in Deuteronomy, the Israelites are instructed on how to present their firstfruits to God, rehearsing their history of deliverance as they give. We also witness the dramatic scene at Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim, where the blessings and curses of the Law are proclaimed. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus heals ten lepers, but only one—a Samaritan—returns to give thanks. Jesus then pivots to answer the Pharisees about the "when" and "where" of the Kingdom of God, warning that it won't come with signs to be observed, but is already in their midst.Today’s Scripture:📖 Deuteronomy 26–28:14 – Moses describes the ritual of the firstfruits and the tithe, followed by the command to write the Law on large stones once they cross the Jordan.
