Every individual will experience grief in their lifetime, and it’s important to recognize that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to process loss—whether it stems from the passing of a loved one, a divorce, estrangement, the loss of a treasured item, a job, or one’s health. Grief has the power to shape daily life, relationships, and the ability to move forward. However, as we explore GRIEF on this podcast, we stand by the belief that support is available to help you navigate its challenges. You are not alone. Our panel is made up of dedicated Grief Coaches, with the exception of myself—I am a Life Coach. Alison, Christina, and Kristy are all certified Grief Coaches, bringing their expertise and compassion to support you.Although Alison is not with us today, she remains available to guide you through your journey. Today, she’s taking a well-deserved self-care day—something we wholeheartedly encourage. As many of you know, Alison is the primary caregiver for her incredible mother-in-law, Joy, who is 102 years young.Last month, Joy experienced a fall that could have been life-altering, but fortunately, she avoided serious injury. Still, the weight of Alison’s caregiving responsibilities has deepened, and we want to send her our love and support.Let’s take a moment to acknowledge her dedication and uplift her, in spirit as she continues this journey with Joy.Today, Christina and Kristy and I will be talking about how Grief Work affects us. We are not robots instilled with artificial intelligence to assist you, as humans we too have similar experiences and even though our training has provided us with tools, sometimes we may lack the energy to use them. (At least I will say that is true for me.)So let me open up today’s conversation and ask about three major components:• Active Listening – Who wants to explain this as it is an art?• Empathy/not sympathy – What happens if you become too sympathetic?• Guidance – Can you share the concept of journaling and how it is used for healing? How real are the stages of Grief? – Does everyone go through them• Denial• Anger• Bargaining• Depression• AcceptanceWorking with a grief coach can be incredibly beneficial for those navigating loss. Unlike traditional therapy, grief coaching is future-focused and solution-oriented, helping individuals process their emotions while developing coping strategies to move forward.Grief Coaching similar to Life Coach provides you with the support, guidance, validation and techniques to move forward if you choose to.Meet the GRIEF BeLIEF Podcast Panel:Alison Pena - https://grief.beehiiv.com/[email protected] Hatten - https://www.facebook.com/christina.hatten.9Kristy Anderson - www.griefrecoverymethod.com/grms/[email protected] you are looking for a Personal Coach contact Karen at #YESICAN coaching with [email protected] 526 1530
