Jeff buys it, but the rest of the Grue-Crew are reluctant to take a side. That is, except Chad. On the other hand, the entire crew thinks it is an excellent movie. The decidedly noir-style cinematography and lighting, and Bernard Herrmann's brilliant score, make Hangover Square worth a watch. There are also some horrifying scenes — one in particular — that will be stuck in their minds for a long time. Eerie palls of sadness and synchronicity hang over this film when one learns of the seemingly tragic lives of the three leads (Laird Cregar, Linda Darnell, and George Sanders).
