Maui's Mayor Alan Arakawa came on my Travel Angel Show to talk about Hangzhou with me and Renee and Barry Riley who teach English in China. I had visited there in 1988 while Renee has been teaching English there for years. The Mayor had been there in May for an environmental conference.   Hangzhou is famous for it's beautiful West Lake or Xī Hú, a freshwater lake located in the historic area of  the capital of Zhejiang province in eastern China.  There are numerous temples, pagodas, gardens, and artificial islands within the lake.West Lake has influenced poets and painters throughout the ages for its natural beauty and historical relics.Download Standard Podcast
